Ordered on 12/17, they told me it would take 12-15 weeks. picked it up yesterday, after 7 weeks +, with 6 miles on it and full tank of gas. Now for a few mods.

I'm looking for a TRD OR 4x4 in Silver or Gray with basic tech and LED lights. No other BS for me.
I want a DCLB which Longo tells me can't be special ordered. We know nothing from Toyota can be special ordered
I do see some long beds in NorCal, so they are being made.
I will probably have to just get what they give me.
Thanks for the info on Santa Margarita. I thought they were charging more. Might have to look harder there.

I’ve noticed the exact same thing talking to my local dealers and monitoring the inventory tool! I’m looking for a TRD OR with the LED package and Technology package, but without the premium package. Seems like a lot of the trucks with the LED and Tech packages also have the premium package.

That's exciting, mine has an 06 build week (so hopefully about a week behind this). Sorry, I was excited for myself there, but good for you too! :)

I've told the dealers I have looking for me as long as it's 4x4 TRD OR DCLB and Green, Silver, or Gray I don't really care what packages it has (as long as it has LED headlights!). I agree on the packages. I will say, there's A LOT of different package and port add ons out there, there's not really much pattern to it other than if it has the premium package, it probably also has at least the tech if not the advanced tech as well. Still waiting...

Freehold Toyota. I was able to bypass their $2500 markup, which was low compared to other dealers in the area. Ended up paying MSRP.

I should clarify. I didn’t completely bypass it. The truck wasn’t coming with the bed mat and tonneau cover. I had them add it as a dealer add on when it gets to the lot “At cost”, not what they normally charge. So I got a little more than what it came from factory with.
Did I get one on them? Probably not, but the finance guy won’t like me when I ask if the APR on my loan is the “buy or sell rate” and ask to see the loan offer BEFORE I sign anything. They don’t like that.

    Tell me more!
I'm assuming there's different standard rates a dealership can apply? I filled out my loan application at my local dealership and my credit score was an 850, but they offered me 4.9%, which is garbage of course. I didn't say anything because I haven't signed anything, and I am more concerned with the line items on my final sale.

The buy rate is the APR they are given from the bank.
The sell rate is the mark up on the APR they give to you at. The difference is all profit for the dealer. I had that happen to me at a VW dealer 10 years ago. Now this doesn’t ALL dealers are marking up the APR, but it does happen.

Ah, thanks for the info. I know it's happening to me at my dealership! So if there's no payoff penalty from Toyota Financial, then you'd think dealerships would want to give you a competitive a rate as possible, so you don't go immediately refinance and they lose out on that money. Or maybe they get some guaranteed either way?

Mind you I haven’t done this as I haven’t into finance yet. I’ll do that when the truck gets to the dealer.
They aren’t obligated to show you the agreement that they got from the lender, but if they don’t want you too see it, then they might be trying to hide their increase in the APR.
Again, some dealers may do this and some may not. Not ALL dealers are crooks. But with the way car sales are rite now. They will do anything to increase their profit on the “back end” of the deal. That happens in normal times as well.

Placed Order for Double Cab short bed army green TRD sport premium with manual transmission first week of November 2021, dealer called and had it allocated mid December. Just got confirmation today that the truck will land at the dealer March 5th up here in Ontario Canada. The waits been killing me but if I’ve waited since November already the next 3 weeks should be easy right? …. Right?
