How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Just heard from the dealer, supposedly built and quote " changed to GT status" and could arrive this week. Wtf is GT status?

 

I'm just looking for a LR or AG TRD OR with premium tech and LED. shits crazy. The second dealer on 1/7 I'm more confident they'll get it sooner, only been 5 weeks with them so in theory, they still have almost 2 months to keep their promise of 3 months. someone on here bought one from them as well after they gave a better ETA that the 11/24 dealer. wish i had gone to them sooner but i had a lot going on with work and insurance claim so i just didnt... my own fault there, hopefully they can pull what I want. I really want LR and don't want to settle for AG but will... after those two i won't be thrilled, silver/mgm are just so boring to me and i'm hoping to not have to go that route. but i'm tired of waiting! All i see is CA allocations on the excel sheet.

 

did they sell to you at msrp or add a market adjustment?

 

Ground transport?

 

In Canada apparently we don't get vins? But my sales person told me the status changed from In Production to In Transit.
How long does it to get here from mexico?

Good call... Makes sense. If it does show up then it will be about 2 weeks from hearing about it to pickup. So if we count the 4 months waiting for another dealer ,after a deposit, to locate a truck then total will be 4.5 months.

 

I talked to my dealer about a week ago. They had the exact truck I wanted (minus the LEDs) inbound. I put down a refundable $500 deposit on a MGM off road manual for MSRP and no add ons. He gave me a VIN that same day, and said it enters production February 25th. It’s showing up on my Toyota app. No push back. No fuss. If anyone needs a referral for the Utah/Southwest area PM me.

 

I have a similar good experience in the northeast, glad there are still some good ones around!

 

Tell me about it. I’m in Arizona now and “spawn of Satan” would be a nice way of describing most of the dealerships I’ve tried dealing with down here. Doing business with my previous honest, honorable dealer in Utah is worth the flight and 10 hour drive home.

I’m a little late on the update, but here it is. Picked it up in the Bay Area on Sunday (I forget not everyone has blue laws), and have been road tripping it back to Texas with some fun stops along the way. These were taken somewhere south of Big Sur on the Pacific Coast Highway.

 

MSRP, but they add on their package of extras like paintless dent removal, towing, 2 oil changes beyond the toyo guard, floor mats, clear door protection on door edges and door handle area, ,Roadside assist, Road Hazard, windshield repair, key fob replacement, theft protection , rental car, screen protector, protective costing on vehicle, tire rotations, full tank of gas at purchase, shuttle service during services.. You can go to their web site or call them for the details. My salesman was Walter Wunderly, we got along well and he called me several times for updates while we were waiting for the truck to arrive.

 

I wanted to fly out and buy mine so I could road trip it back. Would have been incredible to just stop and see things like this. Unfortunately out of state dealers didn't want to talk, just add tons of sauce to the price.

Hey you Long bed guys I found this used Cement 2020 on CL this morning, looks to be a Premium with Advanced Tech so not bad price with the lift and extras. Just throwing it out in case someone wanted a LB sooner than never.

I’ve had a good experience with Precision in Tucson, and talked with another guy on this forum that also had a good experience with Desert.

I was able to reserve an allocated OR MT before they listed it on their site. Paying MSRP with just $500 in dealer bs options added.

 

Man I am such a huge fan of the Cement color. I really wish that they'd kept it in addition to LR, instead of discontinuing it.

 

I was at my local dealer the other day and inquired about a 2022 TRD Pro 6MT in Electric Lime and was told any order was 6 months minimum at this point.
