I think it matters, for sure. My local is a big dealership and was able to get what I wanted within one Allocation cycle.

These are on the truck I'm waiting on. I really don't like them either so hopefully the can be removed with no issues.

Hey new here. My name is Ivan, I'm hoping to downsize from my F250 to a Tacoma. I just put an order in on a 2022 TRD Pro Tacoma with a few selected accessories on Monday. Dealer said it would likely be 6 month but could be more or less. After reading this forum I'm wondering if I'll ever get it. I've never ordered a new vehicle before so I don't know what to expect. Has anyone ordered one recently and got any kind of promising update that they would actually get it? Specifically the Pro.

I'd travel or pay for shipping if needed but are you saying that I would need to do that for the one I ordered at my local dealer? Or are you saying I'd have to go find another dealer?

Don't leave your eggs in one basket. There is quite a few folks whom have allocations with 2 or more dealerships waiting on the one whom can fullfill their allocation first - just make sure its refundable.

Jeez what a racket we are in right now! Well I'll just give it a shot with this dealer. I bought my wife's 4runner from them back in 2018 so maybe they will come through. What happens if they can't get one by the time they start making the 2023 models? Do they just bump me to the new model?

Check over in Oklahoma City and Mobile Alabama - believe I saw manual Lime Pros on the Toyota inventory checker entering random city zip codes...

The tacoma spreadsheet won't help you. All the PROS that make it to the spreadsheet are gone.

Figure out how far you are realisticly willing to go get the truck. Some people it's 100 miles, others like me. Fuck it,, it's a road trip. I live out west. Nothing good is less then 500 miles. If you really want something, go get it. Stock allocation day, it's the best bet other then laying down a blanket of deposits. But that's too late now too. You need to ask if anyone has a deposit in front of you. Because each dealer is not going to get more then a few. I hope that helps, it sounds disguising. But be willing to pounce, on a truck not perfect
