How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

I didn’t want the moonroof but wanted leather so got one with cloth and will do Katzkin leather with heated seats. I thought I wanted tech package with the led lights but didn’t get a truck with it and now I am glad I did because of all the stories about the tech not working. Just one less thing to worry about. The Led lights I am a little bummed about cause it will cost over a grand to upgrade but they also have their complaints about freezing and not melting snow and ice. Oh well I’m the end I am happy. Just wish my truck would get here soon. Getting excited now because it’s getting close.

 

Pretty sure your sales guy is being honest. If you build a taco w/ the premium offroad pkg (moonroof) it says you must add the advanced tech pkg and alerts you of the pricing change on Toyota’s website.

 

I have always been able to 'build' or confiigure one with just the Premium Off Road Package, which is $5,100. This is why I was surprised that I would have to add the $1,700 package - since this config and the brochure doesn't link them together.
The $37,855 is with DC and 4WD option, as shown below.

 

Are you saying if you get an OR that does not have the Off road premium package, that you will not have color matched mirror and bumpers? What is a color matched mirror?
I haven't heard anything about the premium package affecting the exterior of the truck.

 

Tech package gets color matched bumper. Off-road gets standard the color match turn signal heated mirrors and chrome rear bumper.

 

No you get color matched everything with the package i mentioned.

you do not have to get advanced tech to get premium. The reason the website isn’t letting you is because there are any available in thag zip or state. Try out of state zips to see all the options. States with snow and mountains and money get the higher equipped trucks. I gave up looking in Texas.

 

Truth. I always put in a Denver zip code if I wanted to see ALL the options I could really get. Putting in my home zip code yields about 30% of all the available accessories and options.

 

Actually it's the other way around. the website is letting me add the premium without the advanced tech package. It's the dealer that is telling me I have to have the advanced to get premium package.

 

So does this screen change?

 

Tech package comes with color matched bumper since it has sensors in the bumper

 

I had to enter the new vin. It didnt change automatically. Dealer should give it to you

 

I noticed Sunday when I logged into my Toyota account via webpage that my temp vin/truck was gone. On my phone, I had to actually remove my Temp VIN/Truck from my garage and then attempt to re-add it again in order for it to say that it couldn't find it. My dealership hasn't called yet with my actual VIN though.

 

Toyota is not taking any orders, it is purely on Allocation alone, and any dealer that says otherwise is full of crap. It is all based on 1. luck and 2. how long you are willing to wait before they stop 2022 production and start the 2023 models. I've been on the wait for a Lunar Rock OR 6MT since September and my dealer is now just getting their first Lunar Rock OR but it is an auto and no frills. After calling every single dealership in MI, I noticed these LR are not coming out of the factory fast enough, and when they do, they are all spoken for. Told My dealer to reserve it, they didnt charge me a penny above MSRP and did not even ask for a deposit. Got a VIN and is under my name, now I just have to wait . I dont need the car to tell me to check my blind spot, or that I am too close to somebody.. I've been driving for 30+ years and never had an issue . Took that extra money and order the TRD lift, TRD wheels, Skid plate and Running boards instead. Just need to do something about the chrome bumper. Do I wish it was a 6MT? Absolutely, but thats ok, I can live with without it.

 

Ordered Sept 11th -> 2022 TRD Sport, double cab, 6 foot box, Barcelona Red. Going to see it tonight! Been an awful long wait. Darn things are like gold. (Ontario Canada!)
