I am dealing with Rodland and they are MSRP I think marysville also MSRP. Foothills in MT Vernon is $ 1999 market adjustment. Toyota dealer in Redmond is $4999 MA I think the Toyota dealer in Lynnwood is MSRP. There are quite a few in my area

I knowa dealer getting a lunar rocker offroads premium with advance tech. Its being built same day as my truck. I really wanted this exact model but put a deposit on identical truck one state over with everything but advanced. Its just tech pack on the one I ordered. But this dealer matched the adjusted market value that I am paying at my dealer. But since I already have $500 deposit on other truck I gave up trying to get the advanced tech just for the trail cams. If anyone wants its think it'll be around 48999 with adjust value. Its got moonroof leather etc.

Guys the dealers that are asking the "market adjustment" price of over MSRP, can easily be buried by telling them your trade has the exact same "market adjustment" increase.

Do not pay over MSRP, or they will continue to sell at these ridiculous prices. When you go to sell, I guarantee you will not be receiving that "market adjustment" in your sell price. To be honest I'm surprised banks/CCs are approving loans for these vehicles being sold over the ACV of a vehicle.

Im not trading anything in I always keep my beaters. Plus it would be worth enough to trade. Unfortunately in this marking you gotta do what you gotta do. I had several names in hats at several dealers for MSRP but I got tired of waiting. I also need a truck before summer as my AC went out and I use my vehicle daily for work and not short distances. I was totally against it end of last year when I started looking but being picky and only wanting one package in one color only didn't leave me much option. Im more than happy to pay 3k adjusted market for a truck that's brand new versus a 2019 TRD Pro with 25k miles for 54k before taxes. Its just not a good time to buy anything unfortunately, but for those of us that can't wait that long or until next or hell even 3 years when the market "might" go back to normal we had to do it. I really don't mind paying that small amount for the EXACT truck I wanted.

I really want to know, asking in general not you directly, if ten years from now these market adjusted vehicles that we bought, will also be $5k over the KBB.

My personal opinion is it will never be the same. Inflation is here to stay. All that money we got for "free" during covid and the housing market are factoring in. Bought a Colorado brand new in 2005 around 20-24k out the door. Its been awhile and don't remember. My best friend bought a single cab Silverado same year for around same price. Even before covid you couldn't find one new anywhere close to that. Dollars worth less now.

Maybe if I ever get it.
I understand the "market adjustment" BS. Don't like it, but understand it. Supply and demand. Fine.

Crap like this really frosts me though. A deal is made and money changes hands, then they renege because they think they can away with it. The worst of it is, maybe they can.

This. I needed to replace a vehicle facing MAJOR repairs that had tons of miles on it. Just didn't trust it. Came into a large chunk of money so I took the opportunity. Was dead set on not paying over MSRP, just couldn't find anything within a reasonable distance. Checked with a very local dealer... 2k over MSRP. Completely OK with it considering they got me 90% of the Tacoma I wanted.

I was in the same boat, The only thing I wanted and won't buy without is the moon roof. I didn't want any of the tech crap but don't have a choice. Moonroofs are awesome on those warm nights, I had one on my last Taco and I swore I would never buy another vehicle without one. Now I'm paying a premium for a Pro because I cant wait any longer. I really just need a truck!!!

The problem is, at least for me, I don't have a choice I need a new truck and the "market adjustment" is just as much if not more on the used market. I would love to wait if I could but I just cant. Also, I have never sold any of my Toyota's and wont sell this one so in the grand scheme of things its really not that big of a deal.

Hard to tell, But If there is one brand that will, It will be a Toyota. Honestly, what I think will happen is Toyota and the other manufacturers will raise prices to what people are paying now. Thats what I would do if I was in their shoes. They will just add more useless tech to justify the outrageous cost. I dont believe prices will go back down.

The Pro I am buying has an expected build date of March 7, I wonder how far behind they are running.

My week 7 build Tacoma didn't disappear off my app but another truck was added to my app which is my real Vin I guess. My trucks showing one mile and low gas. My dealer actually messed up I guess and called me yesterday to say my car had arrived but then called back to say something about a "CC" code or something like that which means in transit possibly. I'm in Northern Cali so hopefully that means its getting delivered soon. I wanted a TRD OR LR with Advanced Tech and LED's but not premium package and I was pretty much told thats an impossible combo. Basically to get the Advanced Tech you need to add the Premium package it seems at least in my area. So I'm essentially getting a "stripper" model. Just Tech package for $800 and the Rubber floormats and sill guards.

Also just to help out I ordered in November, There were 2 people in front of me wanting Lunar Rock TRD offroads. My dealer doesn't charge above MSRP on any vehicles. Walnut Creek Toyota.

Might want to add experience level on allocations and if they accept deposits and for how much. Great idea nonetheless though!
