    This. I call dealers out of state off the excel sheet or email inquiring about a VIN. they call me and ask when I want to test drive? I say is is the VIN i sent? oh no that one is sold but we have some used tacomas can you come in today? uhhh nah

    Gotta be to draw people in I just called the dealer again yesterday it says 11 Tacomas on their website and he said everyone is pre sold he doesn’t have any on the lot so they must just keep them listed to make people come in thinking they’re there this sell something different

    When placing deposits are you guys always going to the dealership in person, or just calling/emailing and doing it remotely? Are you also getting them to provide in writing a bill of sale for the deposit that says refundable or is an email from them enough?

    I didn't have to put down any deposit, just got a purchase order with my name, specs, add-ons and the Temp VIN of the truck in it.

    Our MGM Pro week 9 build with build date of 3/7 no longer works on the guest dealer site with the temp vin #. Site states "Page you are looking for is not found! Please contact dealer for more information. It was on there yesterday. Does this mean it's finally being built?

    pretty sure that means its a real truck now. Good luck getting your VIN, though. I'm 2/28 on my temp VIN vanishing but no VIN or updates yet.

    Don't panic. Dealers want to show any sort of inventory even if it already has a deposit on it.

    I put down my deposit in November was was told in January that my build date was 3/5/2022, then its a 30 day wait for build so I'm guessing i should see the truck in April.
    I already have $ 1600.00 worth of accessories to go on it all i need to order is my Bak Revolverx4s cover and TRD Pro Grille with lights.

    I bet they will slap on a different delivery charge or upsell and add on other fees before it comes in. just watch out, you should put a deposit in at two or three dealerships to get exactly what you want and the color.

    I have. It is the color I want as well. Only thing they added which I really don't give a shit about is window tint for driver/passenger windows and some Resistall BS. At least there's no 5k-10k market adjustment.
