Money talks and BS walks! I've bought a few Toyotas from my dealership in the past so I think they were more willing to use one of their "requests" to GST for my exact truck I wanted.

Yup, there's no way I would have been told about my truck without the salesperson making something off me. It was a cost I was more than willing to pay and I still would have paid it to the salesperson if it would have been his dealer that got my truck. I do wish they could have done a trade so his dealer would have gotten the sale and he would have made more but we all know no one is giving up inventory right now.

I also think my DCLB TRDOR with my options was one of the first, if not the first 2022, to get delivered to Colorado. I was checking something close to 80% of the incoming inventory and very few were DCLB and most that were had the Sport trim.

In the end, I got what I wanted outside of color. Preferred green/red/lunar rock but silver is ok. Did not want black or white. Blue would have been ok but my 2009 was Speedway Blue so it was time for a change.

The dealer i used twice including the taco im driving now wouldnt budge off their 5000 markup. So much for my loyalty as a customer. Went elsewhere and even have out of state deposits. You said it right money talks

1-2 months, depending on where you are located. On the coasts, closer to port, maybe sooner

    Thanks

    So my timeline was:
    Factory: Baja
Dealership: Landers Toyota - Little Rock, AR
February 18th - Recieved notification of allocation
February 26th - Estimated Build Date - Temp VIN disappeared in Toyota App and Online
March 4th - I am able to re-add Temp VIN in App after not being able to earlier in the week. This was odd.
March 9th - Pester dealership and receive VIN. :boink: Am told ETA is 3/18
March 9th - Put new VIN into Toyota App and see my truck with 2 miles on the odo and a 1/4 tank of gas
March 9th - Put new VIN into guest.dealer.toyota.com site, no "eta" in dev tools
Various days after - door locked/unlocked notifications, tire pressure changes
March 15th - still no "eta" in guest.dealer.toyota.com dev tools. Truck shows up on dealership website.
March 16th - Truck drops off dealership website. receive notification Truck is on-lot and going through prep and getting tint/exhaust for... :drumrull: on-time delivery 3/18.

I hope this helps someone else going through the process down the line.

Got a “small” box of stuff to put on this weekend from Meso and some other vendors. Maps, domes, fuse cover, anytime camera, DD SS3 fogs. Been busy shopping while waiting! Looking forward to getting my build thread started. :spending:

I got my 2022 taco sr 4x4 v6 Saturday. I place the order January 23rd and was delivered March 12th. My son works for Toyota and it’s hard to get them plus people are paying crazy market adjustment prices.

2/5/22: Went in and met with salesman
2/8/22: Put $1000 deposit down. VIN shows a week 9 build, they are expecting the truck delivered in April sometime.

3/15/22: Truck finally reported data to the Toyota app. Shows 0mi and 1/8 tank of gas.

@Charliej103 be on the lookout. When my truck arrived the dealer wanted 6k over msrp price. I was not informed about that when I put my order. Fortunately, I was able to pay only $900 over. Same day and when I was finishing financial paperwork a guy pay 6k over msrp for the same truck I order sr 4x4 double cab silver mine is black.

I understand if you really needed the vehicle now and the dealer had you by the short and curlies, but I personally would have gotten up and walked out on the spot.

Thanks, this gives me optimism! I received notification of my allocation on 3/2 for a week 12 MT TRD Pro build according to the temp VIN. Dealer told me to expect the truck in week 2-3 of April. Seemed a bit optimistic to me based on what others here are reporting, but maybe not far off after all.
