How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

For the Canadian Members on the East Coast, have any of you received your 2022 trucks?
We ordered a Lunar Rock 2022 TRD Off-Road Premium Sept 24 and the Dealer has no info on when to expect it.

 

I ordered mine early October and was told 4 months. Same truck you stated, I’m in Nova Scotia.

 

Same reason that I have a deposit down on a yet to be built truck at a sales price that's thousands less than I see similarly-equipped trucks a year or two old with 20-40K miles on them selling for (at speed)?

Instant gratification. I can think of no other explanation.

 

Do they have an allocation? They should have a build date and some sort of delivery window if so.

If your dealer truly doesn't know then it's likely they don't have an allocation for your build yet.

 

I am not sure about the allocation. I will ask them. This is our first Tacoma.

When you all put your deposits down, what paperwork did the dealer give you? Contract, invoice, or anything at all? I'm about to put my deposit down in a few weeks and I'm trying to figure out what to expect.

 

I was given a receipt for my deposit and a printout of the build sheet for my truck, which was already allocated.

 

I was given the exact same, but my truck was not allocated at time of deposit.

Special order form signed by a manager, copy of build sheet, receipt for refundable deposit.

 

I got a receipt showing I paid the dealer $500, that is all

 

I just did it and based on advice I got: A salesman and I signed and dated build sheet with the agreed price and some notes like "no dealer add-ons, no dealer market adjustments, no dealer services like nitrogen tires, paint protection, etc"

 

I got on the list to replace my 2007 taco sport with the new lime green.

I just saw they shifted production delivery from Nov to 2021 to "early 22" what ever that means...

My wife and I scored a 4runner in lunar last year. The software is a joke. Crawl control and gas mileage are a joke.


Manual transmissions are far more efficient then automatics.. the people who test both are automatic drivers..

I can see a hill.. and "choose " to be in neutral... your automatic simply can't to that...


Stop light.

I roll from1st to third to sixth. Find a automatic that can see the redlight, down hill. And sell me that.

Left out the details of the dealer so they won’t be bombarded with anyone but serious calls (don’t want to piss them off because my truck arrives in about 1-2 weeks and do not want to blow it)

 

I put in a down payment for a 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road with the premium off road package on October 9, 2021 at MSRP.

All I got is a receipt for my down payment and a special order form signed by the manager.

I am still waiting on my Taco to be allocated.

 

Ordered a ‘22 Sport at the end of September. Originally was expected for November - December and just got word today from dealer that it’s pushed back to February ‘22. Of course I’m frustrated but not much I can do.

 

Ordered!!! Today 11-15, I was told 16 weeks . MSRP+ doc fees, all in writing.. Gives me time to save some more for my down payment.
