Well I am a little bummed by some of the news I am reading in this thread. Had no idea that if I don't hear about an allocation for a Lunar Rock TRD Pro by the 20th, then I am out of luck.

I created my account today because I had been lurking the past few weeks after I placed what I believe was a request for an allocation and placed a deposit a couple weeks ago. I specifically asked if I would be able to get a Lunar Rock Pro or if I would be stuck with a 2022 (this was a couple days before they were announced) and my dealer assured me I would be fine.

Fingers crossed! Still no updates. I guess I am calling in the morning.

Good luck!!! However the only way this is possible is if the dealer already knew that they have one incoming. Otherwise placing a deposit 2 weeks ago is highly unlikely. Ive been watching trends of Pro colors being listed at dealers and it seems that Lunar rock was finished a couple allocations ago. a month ago dealers were getting pre-sold/deposit Lunar Rocks in and since then its only been black, white and gray Pros lately. Who knows!?

Either way, lets hope they still have one last batch of Lunars on the way out. Otherwise, I guess we can count on 2022 Pro's. I find out tomorrow- at this point, ill take a white or gray 2022 if I don't get Lunar.

Good luck! I'm not 100% sure but there could be another month for allocations. I just got mine last week but the build date is still pretty far out. You may get lucky but if you don't have anything by July 20th then I'd bet there's no chance.

I had given up hope on getting an allocation for my Lunar Rock MT Pro. It's the only Pro my dealer has for the year. In a normal year they only ever see two or three. They haven't had a manual in a few years.

Also... I'm here from bronco6g too. I know you. I bailed on a Black Diamond. I'm pan-y-cerveza over there.

No way! Great minds think alike! If I don't get a Lunar Rock allocation I will be pretty bummed, but I guess I can shoot my shot for a white 2022... just hoping to have a car I like by September. If not, I will have to get creative.

Hello all, I wanted to provide an update. I just checked in with my dealer. The 2021 allocation request was not accepted. This tells me that if you do not have a confirmed 2021 allocation by now you will not receive a 2021. He said it automatically converted to a 2022 allocation request. I believe him-seems to be a straight up guy and a reputable dealer.

I did already have a 2022 allocation request in for one with LED headlights, so we cancelled this 2021 allocation request for one without.

I am not sure if this will 'lower' my place in line The dealer wasn't sure but didn't think so.

So now I have a request for a 2022 AG DCSB 5MT, basic tech package, LEDs.

I just jumped in this thread.
All these color changes should be a separate thread title. Some good info in here.

@bcmbcmbcm My dealer told me the same thing. My 2021 request will automatically be converted to a 2022 allocation if it gets filled after the production rollover happens.

Also, @Philly_ I have some potential good news for you. My dealer also told me Lunar Rock is replacing one of the greys in the 2022 lineup. I think it's possible you can still get a Lunar Rock in 2022. Although, I guess there's still a possibility that LR will be relegated to lower trims only like army green was.

P.S. @bcmbcmbcm looks like we're waiting for nearly identical builds. Hope we're not in the same region ;) haha.

I'm hoping to get premium package still though. Need those heated leather seats for winter time.

Thanks! I actually found and picked up a TRD Pro in Lunar Rock this past Saturday! Flew in to Kansas and drove it back 850 miles. Totally worth it! I love this truck so much more than I was expecting. Can't wait to get it on the trails!

Just for reference, since we're flirting with the line on 21s becoming 22s, my dealer's request for my 21 was sent early February. It wasn't allocated until the end of April, then built at the end of May. It was delivered to the dealership a week ago. If 21s were 5 months out for "factory orders", there's no way 6 weeks is an accurate estimate to squeak in a 21 much more recently than that.

Blue crush metallic looks awesome, voodoo blue was horrid otherwise I would have gotten the blue offering over army green. BCM looks like a color that changes with the light, a rare thing these days, so I hope they keep a few of those to offer. AG isn't metallic but at least it changes with the light unlike all the other non-metallic options. I digress...

@Minotaur I am in Southern California. I actually want to add heated leather seats after the fact. Here in Socal we have great shops that can do this. I really don't want a sunroof so this seems like the only way.

Had I known the 21 'allocation requests' would 'roll' to 22 'allocation requests' I would have kept mine in. I would imagine I put myself unnecessarily to the back of the line.

Re: color- I really do prefer solid colors. Easier to spot touch up-I have had solid colored vehicles where a skilled painter could paint one panel vs. 'blending' the entire side.

That said, I really do think Blue Crush will be great. I saw celestial silver in person on a Camry and if it is the same formulation, it really pops and should be quite nice.

Different note- if the trend of pro colors being offered on other trim levels continues, and 2023 is the last year for Gen 3, the unicorn of unicorns would probably be a 2023 Electric Lime ACLB sport with a MT.

@bcmbcmbcm I feel like California is the place to be for that particular build honestly. Looking on Autotrader, I have consistently seen Army Green Manual Off Roads pop up In CA. I've made some calls, and several times they have NOT been reserved. I just haven't had the time to drive out to get them since it's a couple states away.

I honestly feel like I'm really just going to have to fly somewhere to get mine like @Philly_ and other people have. My dealer has given me such little hope that my order with come through. Speaking of which, @Philly_ you should post a picture to make us jealous. I love the Lunar Rock Pros

@Minotaur here are a few in different lighting conditions! Love how the color shifts through gray/green/blue. Looks different every time I go outside!

    Check build thread!
You're looking at 6-7 months from now. You can also get Lunar Rock on an OR for 2022.

I'm not surprised at 6-7 months from now. But what makes you say this? I have seen the 'next' model year show up at dealerships as early as August-September. The Toyota dealership I am working with is already seeing some 2022 Camrys and Avalons come in. That said, I wouldn't expect my MT allocation right away. Do you estimate this 6-7 months from now because of pent up demand?

I heard that too, but then saw an allocation screenshot that showed you can still order cement.
