Yup, thats part of the advance and regular tech package isn't it? Or is that in the premium only?

Just pulled the trigger on jumping back into a Taco here ABQ Nm. I contacted all 3 dealers in the state and all but one had allocations available, was hoping to find a lunar rock unfortunately, all dealers said that was damn near impossible, (not sure how true that is) but I settled on my third favorite color of white. Anyway, placed a deposit today, slotted to be built 4/15, dealer is saying I should see it arrive end of May. So I will keep this thread updated on the timeline. Additonally, the dealer said that if a lunar or army gree (my 1 and 2 colors) popped up I could easily move my deposit, will see how true that is as well.

My Lunar rock just came in yesterday. I was working with a few dealers but wouldn't settle for any other color. If you really want it call around outside your state and check frequently. It is the one of the more popular color this year.

Its the base technology package. The "build" that my dealer whom I have a non-refundable deposit with submitted my AC 6spd manual with only the LED headlights so hopefully Toyota accepts it since technology package supplies are dry supposedly. But hope thats not the case as a lot of folks waiting on Pros and Tech package equipped Sport/Off Roads would be screwed.

Same situation here. My allocation was accepted with only the LED headlight upgrade. Chrome bumper for me so I'm hoping they'll be able to move forward with production.

I am in Canada and wonder if our packages are different than US models. I ordered the TRD OR acess cab and it's only available in 3 colors. It has all the fancy electronics, all exterior lighting is LED except the headlights. It's also my 1st auto since mid 70,s Hopefull it will be deliveredby 3rd weekof April.

So the tail lights are LED from the factory? I wasn't aware Toyota made any Tacomas with LED tails.

My Sport (USA) has the LED package and it's only the headlights and fogs.

I'm trying to place where in the timeline my truck is. Does having a full VIN mean that the truck is actually built? I was able to connect to the truck on the Toyota app, but it's showing no mileage or tire info. The V-Spec site shows an ETA of {} (no ETA). The truck was offered to me by the dealer in place of an allocation, stating someone backed out of it, so I have no knowledge of when the truck was allocated, built etc.

I believe you have the temp vin until the truck is actually built then you get a permanent vin. So id say truck has been built.

This is correct, there is no such thing as "ordering" a Tacoma from TOYOTA, it is all based on allocation (roll of the dice). Toyota is not taking any orders. Any dealer that is telling you otherwise, it is BS'ing you. Some dealers have a higher number of allocations than others but that is it. You tell them what you want, and they will try to allocate a vehicle with same specs or similar. I've been waiting for a DCSB TRD OF in LR w/ 6MT since Sept 2021 and my dealer is just now getting their first TRD OR in LR and is an Auto. I went ahead and took it and should be here sometime in the next few weeks. Do I wish it was a 6MT? Sure, but is not a dealbreaker, I rather get the TRD OR in LR 3Gen before they stop production and move to the 4th. I guess you can call that FOMO lol I've been driving manual all my life.. I'm ok with an AUTO for a change :)

I'm sorry, but any dealer that:
    1. Charges over MSRP on standard regular vehicles and/or
    2. Has a non-refundable deposit policy
Can respectfully go pound some sand! :notsure:

I had a 2018 auto, had to trade it because the auto transmission paired with this motor is god awful. But i also live on a mountain so it was a constant annoyance. Flat area drivers don’t seem to have too much issue. Manual > color at least in my scenario. It’s night and day difference, again just in my personal experience driving in my area.

Lol exactly how I would have worded it :). I can see pros as they were above at most dealerships 5k before pandemic it was almost an expected adm. But the common trims were being had for 4K plus off prior to this.
