How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Just received a call From a dealer I inquired with weeks back on an AC 6spd manual. The customer backed out of the deal and she offered me the truck - only drawback is it has premium tech package which I really didn’t want. The truck arrived at the dealership and is ready for pickup soon. Any reasons why I should pass this up and wait for a non-premium tech package model? Being rare as these manual Access cabs are, I’m thinking of just taking the plunge for the extra $2k for that package.

I think it's a Gulf States Toyota thing, I can't find them online anywhere. Someone should call one of the Gulf State Dealers and see if they will give a part number.

ACs seem a little less common, and manuals that much more so. I say this is a full send. You may find you like having some more creature comforts.

 

I wouldn't wait to long I waited 5 minutes before and they sold it to someone else I am sure they have a long list of waiters. She's not the only one telling people about the truck. Better to have more than less.

Went to see my local dealer in early December to request the '22 Trail Edition in Lunar Rock. Didn't have very high hopes that I would actually get it but figured, what the hell. Even signed a sales order and put down a deposit. Dealer actually called about a month ago and said they got an allocation. I now have a temp VIN with a week 13 build, which I think is this week. Now I'm just waiting...patiently...well, kind of impatiently...

 

Madison, WI here...you may want to contact your dealer for the status. My allocated TRD Sport was suppose to be built this week too. Since Toyota has delayed all production my build is now scheduled for the end of April instead. Hopefully it doesn't get pushed back again.

 

The subpar JBL radio and more electronic gadgets. Really only wanted the LED headlights. But guess I’m going to send it…

 

I would. I was set on absolutely only AG. Emailed my 3 dealers and said open up to AG, LR and MGM. No guarantee what the market brings tomorrow. The rona hype is starting to fire up in europe again so I wont be shocked to see repercussions of that here soon. Grab it and erase the uncertainty.

 

I ordered or put an allocation in for an automatic.
I loaded a Sport.
I would have gone with the Pro but didn’t want black, white, silver or sinus infection green (sorry if you like that color. You be you)
When I say loaded I mean I asked for just about everything available on it in Army green. I even ordered the factory lift kit.
I’d take a luna rock, blue or even red one if it had everything I was looking for.

I’m a little embarrassed to say anything at all after hearing everything you guys have had to put up with.

 

Yeah that's going to be tough to find. From what I have seen the sports and OR are generally moderately equipped with Tech and maybe premium at most. Anything else is a wash. For me thats a good thing but will definitely be tough in your case. Id say consider pros.

 

Anyone know when Toyota gets updated allocation lists?

Is the dealer inventory online from Toyota’s website updated simultaneously?

 

We’ll, I’m going to give it a few weeks and see what the dealership has to say.
The salesman I’ve been dealing with has been pretty up front about everything and seems truly sincere and confident. He said he’d keep in touch even if he had nothing so I’ll talk to him once he reaches out.
I may be open to an off road or limited if either where available with all the bells and whistles I asked for…Wouldn’t complain about a fully loaded limited or off road in AG or LR that’s for sure….

 

Has anyone discovered a way to find this information with the new version of the app?

 

uh oh, My TRD Sport DCSB is scheduled for week of 13, I will have to get with my salesperson on Monday and get a status if nothing has changed with the temp VIN...

 

My experience with updates is no. Mine didn't show until a month after build. Here in AZ I have been told the 4th or 5th of the month on allocation lists and actually had some mailed to me on those dates .

eta 4/08/22

It better be worth the wait!
