The temp VIN for my allocated manual OR did not produce any results (dissappeared) on Friday the 26th. It worked on the previous Tuesday. Hoping to get my real VIN here soon...

Put a $500 deposit on 11/24 on an OR 6MT with just the base tech package, factory lift, and roof rack in Southern NH. Will post back if/when it gets allocated...

I just got my truck. Figured I share my experiences on ordering one during these crazy times.

October 07 = went to dealer and placed an order on a '22 Celestial Silver Metallic SR5 w/tech package and all weather floor mats.

October 26 = A truck is allocated and ETA for end of November. But without the tech package. No big deal. I'll take it.

November 29 = Truck arrival and purchased.

    MSRP $37,688
    -$1,000 discount
    -$250 allotment fee
    OTD $38,724

53 days total wait time. Just in time for snow season (if any snow at all)
    Good luck out there.

I'm used to driving clunkers and always purchased all my vehicles used. This truck is something else. Great "little" truck that'll last for awhile.

Nice looking truck! I’m about a month in on SR5 ownership after coming from a ‘98 Wrangler and then a ‘11 RAV4 Sport. Enjoy it and congrats!

I had written earlier, and here is my follow up -- $1k down at dealer in mid-September, picked one from dealer allotment early Oct, built early Nov, and I picked it up today. '22 DCSB Sport. Paid MSRP, no markup.

It was about 18 days from temp VIN disappearing to my Tacoma showing up at my dealership in CO. And then a couple more days for some add-ons.

Maybe I'll get lucky. Two weeks ago the Dealer said it should be on the lot mid-December. Hoping it isn't pushed back much!

My sales person let me know I have the same delivery window and should be expecting my truck around the middle of December. My temp VIN indicated build week 45 and is no longer active as well.

Fingers crossed there isn’t any delays and it comes in around then! I placed my deposit (without an allocation) on August 22nd, so if this timeline holds it will be roughly 4 months wait for me.

Not bad! I put my original order in in June for a manual 2021. Got a call in August saying that I could upgrade to a 2022 or have my order canceled and refunded. My build sheet says the order was picked up by Toyota in October.

So lets hope we get them at the same time! Haha Im in Waco, TX.

Not sure but I think they will and January too. Mine was scheduled to be built in week 43, end of September, but didn’t get built until 10/20. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday but no show so far

Just to help with the thread and tracking… I put down an allocation deposit of $500 that was clocked into the system on 11/1/2021 (I actually got in earlier, but they didn’t run my deposit until we hit November 1 for some reason).

Waiting on a 2022 DCSB Pro in Electric Lime with Super White as a second choice. Salesperson has noted that a specifically outfitted Trail Edition in lunar rock or super white could make me transfer my deposit if one pops into the system (Trails have shown up and are in the portal as of the week before Thanksgiving).

I am in the PNW, north of Seattle.

I think I actually would have had to wait longer (I am getting an AT, but was specific about the premium trim, color and DCLB configuration), but I just happened to luck out and swoop in on an already existing allocation that someone backed out of in early November. Otherwise, it sounds like I would have been waiting until closer to late January / February timeframe.

With everything going on it won’t actually feel real until I’m driving home in the truck though. :fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:

Not far from me then! I ordered through Jeff Hunter here in Waco. They were awesome to us when we got my wife's '21 4Runner Venture so I didn't even shop around.

Went to dealer today for an oil change on my 2016 SR5 double cab v6. Decided to see what they would give me on trade. So now I am supposed to be getting a 2022 off road delivered on 12/10/21. Put down a deposit and filled out all the paperwork. Hope it shows up on time.

I was lucky...dealer had one coming that was not spoken for Double Cab TRD Off Road in green. Being built on December 9th and salesperson says it should be here last week of December first week of January. I paid msrp.

Reading all of our recent post, sounds like we are all cool, calm and collected, patiently waiting for confirmation of an allocation or seeing that temp VIN disappear or delivery of our coveted Tacoma, right?

I'm on a 16-18 week wait, figured id use the time to save more for a larger down payment. Sold my dodge 2500 too early though, i needed a truck the day after I sold it. The minivan just isn't cutting it.
