Where did you get it from on the south shore? What was the timeframe from deposit to allocation, build, delivery etc? Toyo Braintree is where I'm inline........

Why not try other dealers? most people have multiple dealers looking for trucks for them.

So, I went to go check it the used one.
Turns out it was for a 2021 Limited Nightshade edition.

Unfortunately even though it was a used truck it was still $5,000 more expensive than the fully loaded TRD Sport that I was wanting.
If I'm going to pay new truck price, I'd rather just wait and get a new truck.

So, we just opened up the options a little for my deposit.
I also believe the only difference between a fully loaded TRD Off-Road and a fully loaded TRD Sport is the rear locking diff and better suspension on the off-road and the 360 degree camera and cosmetic hood scoop on the Sport. Everything else is the same right?

Been lurking on this thread for months now, sharing my pain with you all in silence. But today I'm finally going to unfollow this thread, thank goodness. It's been a long road with a frustrating reason to be in this situation to begin with, but its now over. Good luck all!

    Here's my timeline:

4/2021 - purchased a new '21 TRDOR DCLB, White, tech package
12/14/21 - Got t-boned, luckily no injures to me or other driver
1/11/22 - Truck declared totaled - first settlement offer (I declined as it didn't include coverage of my GFC, which I was told would also be covered. Lots of back and forth on either them covering it or I go and get it off the truck before I sign it over)
1/17 - meet with salesman who sold me first truck, confirmed they were selling at MSRP, no markups, placed a $2000 deposit, '22 DCLB OR, flexible on color and packages
2/10 - New settlement, with GFC fully covered, I accepted
2/6 - Truck allocated, DCLB OR Army Green w/ TRD premium OR package and tech package, $44,513
    2/21 - Build date
    4/4 - Delivery to dealership…
    4/5 - In my driveway!!!!

Don't forget the Crawl Control for 4LO.
Also the matte black fender flares and front bumper thingy (instead of color coded).
Can't speak for the camera. (I have a 2018 OR).

Congratulations! That's a sweet truck. I'm impressed with the short time between build date and when you got it. I guess it helps you are on the West Coast.

Shoot, that's a typo, the build date was 2/21. I'll edit my post. :)

Or is 16 inch wheels versus 17 for sport and I believe the sport has a spoiler?

I've actually heard this about the new Nissan Z, manual Supra, and Audi RS3 as well.

Wow, what is bizarre is my short list of new cars included both the TRD Sport Tacoma with a 6MT and a Golf R 6MT; I ended up putting a deposit down on a TRD Sport, it will be interesting to see if I get it anytime in the next year. :p

Coming from a 2020 OR to a 22 Sport, I'm going to miss the surround camera. Not for off roading but for parking down town.

Braintree. I initially requested a lunar rock OR manual on 2/6, was told maybe 3-4 months, but the salesman called me a couple weeks ago and asked if I wanted a Pro 6MT that someone had backed out of. I lucked out.
