Rams and F150s, and even Silverados/Sierras are available for immediate delivery...… I just cant, my last RAM was a POS. I've had several full size GMs all junk after 50k miles, the F150 was the least of the problems believe it or not. My Nissan hardbody put them to shame, but was basically the size of a shoebox. I don't have the need for a full size anymore, so here I wait, since November, driving the family spare vehicle because i sold my RAM too early.

    daily rant over..

no dealer can put in requests for specific and exact builds, this is a tactic they use to get your business. Toyota uses a Batch manufacturing method (if you search Toyota Allocation Process on youtube there is a great video explaining this) which means they build various models, colors, and trims simultaneously on the line. Then these builds are allocated to dealers across the US. So your first assessment is the one that more closely aligns with the actual process. That is why it is best to cast as wide a net as possible and play the numbers game. Dealer 2 in this scenario just got lucky. For example, I placed a deposit for an allocation here in ABQ about a month ago hoping for a DBLCB TRD off road in either , lunar rock , arm green, or white. A white allocation was available with a build date of 4/15 so I placed my deposit on that. I also mentioned to the dealer that I would prefer the army green and if an allocation dropped (which they are slated for every 2 weeks) to move my deposit over to the AG. I got extremely lucky yesterday when the allocations dropped as an AG TRD OR MT populated, which I was in line for and thankfully was able to reserve. it is frustrating though.....

Damn that is lucky. Well either way all my deposits are refundable so if they don't get me my truck their sale is being yanked.

Toyota decides what trucks go where based on history of sales, types/models and volume. Dealers have ZERO input on what they are getting.

So heard back from the sales manager at the the Toyota dealer I've been working with, and these are his exact words...

"Some orders were delayed because of a supplier issue. Toyota cut back production by 20% to let the suppliers catch up."

So my week 14 build (this week :(), has been re-scheduled for April 25 (I'm assuming that means the week of April 25).

If we're reading between the lines, I'd guess the supply at issue is microchips...because isn't everything about microchips right now. My Tacoma has the Premium Package and Technology package, so perhaps it's related to those packages? I guess the good news, production is only cut back by 20%, which is completely different from being paused or shut down.

So confirmed the dealer has my truck. Went on a transporter at 3am, delivered by 6am with 4 miles on the odo. Not ready for pick-up and may not be ready today. Looking like Friday AM. Will obviously post pics, and update with a complete timeline of dates and milestones.

I wondered what is happening to the week 14 builds. My build was supposed to be April 1st, week 13, and is now scheduled for April 22nd. :fingerscrossed:
Does anyone have a week 15 build that have been given the "news" of their build date staying the same or moving into end of April or first of May?

Allocated on 2/19, deposit placed same day.
    Built on 3/22.
    Departed on rail on 3/30.
ETA of 4/18-4/23, dealer said ETA is accurate and last spotted today in Wellington, Kansas.

I'm week 13 build too. My dealer said my truck is now scheduled to be built 4/15, so about a two-week delay. One thing I've been keeping an eye on are week 12 builds that are still posted on some dealers websites. Once I see that their temp VINs stop working, then I know mine should be next.

Your dealer can pinpoint where it is in its journey? It seems the only info my Canadian dealer has is " in transit ".

They can’t pinpoint the exact location since it’s on a rail moving but they could tell me the “last sighting”.

however, east of the Mississippi, you can call 1-800-235-2352 and get to the rail transit phone tree, hit one for tracking and then answer the prompts with your train car information such as TTGX ######## i did this and my railcar was in Walbridge, OH at 4:03AM 4/5/2022 with an expected arrival time in Selkirk, NY of 11:00 AM saturday the 9th, it gets real specific haha

New here. Been watching this “how long did you have to wait to get your factory 2022 order” forum a little while now since I put a deposit down trying to get a new Tacoma double cab SR5 back on February 4.
