Yup... I had been contacting multiple dealers about trucks on their websites... got an email that a truck I inquired about was already claimed with a deposit. 2 hours later I got a call that the same truck was available because they pulled the deposit, and so now it will be mine.

Gotta keep on them and work at it. I think a lot more will be pulling out with rates going up if your credit is iffy. People are overreacting to gas prices this happens about every 10 years. I’m seeing 27k msrp 2020 prius now for 36k lol probably bought it at 24k new.

Do I double dip on the Lime? My dealer called and said they have a 4runner trd pro lime coming in. I have a 2021 4runner trd pro with 3800 miles, it's black which I really like. I pick up my truck next week the 4runner would come in 2 weeks later? Do I double up on lime? It's almost a straight across traded but the 2022 has all the cameras and BSM etc and of course the cool color and an extra year now of warranty?

I saw four Mavericks on the road today. If Ford could build them fast enough they would out pace the amount of F-150s on the road. For the same model year anyway, there are a lot of F-150s on the road.

4 Ford Mavericks:D The Velocity blue one might have been the same one I have seen before. One was black with black wheels FX4 pkg, XLT or Lariat. The other two I saw were base XL on steel wheels one was white, and I can't recall which color the other one was, but I can't recall seeing either of them on the road before.

    Alright folks, here's my story.

November 24th I walked into a Toyota dealer in Portsmouth NH and placed a preference order for a '22 TRD OR 6MT in Lunar Rock.

In the next few days and weeks, I monitored the inventory of basically all dealers in MA, NH, and Maine - called a bunch and asked them to call back if what I'm looking for gets allocated.

After a few months of waiting, I called my salesman to get an update. Turns out the dude left/was fired. However, the sales manager was aware of my allocation and would update me once in a while.

As luck would have it, a dealer in Laconia, NH gave me a call saying they've been allocated the exact truck that I want, 9th week build date. It was week 2ish. I jumped on it and cancelled the preference order in Portsmouth.

Getting closer to week 9, I installed the app, monitored the v-spec site, and couldn't wait. Delivery was scheduled for 3/30 - 4/1.

On 4/1 I noticed that the ETA disappeared on the v-spec site and dealer category charged back to "A" from "F". Naturally, I called. Turns out the truck was damaged in transit and Toyota pulled from the dealers inventory. Back to square one.

On 4/2, I was driving around and the missus suggested we check the inventory of some of the dealers in my area. After calling a few only to be told the truck is sold, Woburn tells me they have one unclaimed. Not the color I wanted, but an OR 6MT. I go that day and buy it. Pics attached.

Nice work on the research. For us lazy folks the nearly year long wait is agonizing. This Saturday the wait ends.

I've only been watching the site for a week and with no update and wondering... I can't imagine how you guys have been holding up for months on end. I put my deposit on 3/26 with current ETA of 4/14-19.

I gotta be honest, I got lucky I believe, put the deposit down 2 weeks ago after the dealer asked me what I was looking for and I told him, he called the next day saying one was allocated to them that pretty much matched my request. Delivery wasn't supposed to happen until the week of the 15th thru 20th of April, so for it to come in that quick, I was shocked. Good luck to all those waiting...

that's not entirely true, They put in request which is essentially a "wish list". Toyota will try to match request but there are so many, its a complete crap shot. supply and demand, its always better to have more demand than supply.
