My dealer ordered my 2022 OR DCLB on November 4. Super white with the Technology and Premium packages. He called today to say it has a build date of January 3, so I could possibly get it by the end of January.

Seems like the Pro is also a unicorn right now. I know it says early 2022 for Pros, but I've put deposits down at 2 dealers back in June

Smart move, I wish i would have spread my seed to different dealerships. I wasn't aware of the way Toyota Allocations work until recently.

The dealer I usually deal with always gets Pros and they're having a tough time getting just one allocated. (There was never a problem when I ordered my 17 Pro 4runner, or 18 Pro Taco, or 19 and 20 Pro Tundras......Yes, I know I have a problem....lol)

Did you get a list of what it was optioned out with other than the rear locker and gold wheels and heritage grille badge? I got a Trail TX Pro back in 2012 that had every option I wanted, but it was just by luck as they could have had a bunch of different setups then. I’m waffling and considering switching out my electric lime pro order for a Lunar Rock or white Trail order.

I checked cars.com just for fun. There are 2 listed nationwide, and one looks legit though the price wasn’t advertised.

I’ve never seen it THAT bad.

Howdy folks! I'm brand new to the world of Tacomas (coming from Volkswagen). I placed a deposit at my dealership, Toyota of Newnan down here in Georgia last Thursday; I'm hoping to get an army green TRD OR DCSB. From what I've gathered, it's time to settle in for the long wait. My dealer estimates 3 months, but who knows. Did anyone here get some kind of confirmation or something? Am I just in line hoping that something that matches my build pops up? I have no idea how this works with Toyota.

My dealer just called me when they were allocated one that almost matched what I wanted, and welcome to the forum.

Hi! I'm new to the forum and I've read most of the posts on this tread. Lots of good info! I've found dealers in WA and CO that are offering Tacomas at MSRP thanks to you guys. Im looking to a 2022 TRDOR. Im pretty flexible would go either LB or SB and my first choice are the lighter colors (white, lunar rock, silver). Do any of you know of a dealer in Southern CA or near there that is selling Tacomas at MSRP? Any help/advice would be great thanks

I ordered my DCLB OR on 12 July, took delivery 15 November. Worth the wait!

Does anyone know, when certain models are built? I assume they don't retool the assembly line to often . I just always assumed, all the ACs were built together, then the DCs, or something of thar variety. All manuals, or Autos, you know what I'm saying .

That seems pretty extreme for wait time. Was it the long bed that created some additional delay, or is it a manual or something else that created your unicorn?

Good looking truck. Black is bad ass. I always want one then I slap myself for thinking it. Lol :D

Got a call today. My truck has arrived at the dealership. Between my work schedule and them installing the TRD lift I won’t get it until this Friday.

When I called around southern cal searching, every dealer I spoke to had a “market adjustment” with some asking $10,000 over mrsp! Nuts to that. I no longer looked that way and searched elsewhere.

I waited a total of 5 weeks. I bought a 2022 TRD off road 4x4 short bed, in manual transmission. I bought the OEM TRD lift kit as well as 5 Toyo Open country AT tires in 265/75R 16 . I got the paint protection, tinted windows, and wheathertech floor mats. Also a 7 year bumber to bumper warranty. I was with tax included for everything out the door for 47,580.
