Lol. The restocking fee is just too steep, so I decided to keep mine.

You waited a year for a car? I guess my 6 months (and still waiting) don't seem so bad.

So a dealer called me last night said they have a Black TRD Off Road. MSRP is $47,394.00. These are the numbers they came back with. 59DFA936-2234-43C5-8E95-FCD0D9193100.jpg

6k markup and are they requiring the service contract of 2.5k?

Even if they did, it would be written in a language that no man could understand. :)

Too bad you couldn't ask $6k more for a trade-in.. that's what I plan on doing if a dealer asks for anything over MSRP. Asking exactly the same amount as the trade in value as the increase from MSRP.

Or you could try selling your trade privately...Most dealers will help you save the tax.

If anyone lives in WA, I spoke with dealer this morning after finding it on the spreadsheet. Its not listed on their website be he said it just hit the ground and is available. Said they would not sell to me unless paying cash since I was out of state. Wouldn't even give me a price... He said it was spoken for but I guess the person bailed just before it arrived.

Its a TRD OR, M/T in Lunar Rock with advanced tech package.

That's the selling price of my EL Pro Manual here in AZ with msrp @49,615 where it's markup city out here but it's a pro, no other adds but our sales tax hurts. No way I'd pay over msrp for a non pro.

    Wow, so tempting...

I've got a deposit down on an otherwise identical (option wise) Tacoma TRD Sport in Blue Crush Metallic; paying cash wouldn't be an issue, however, I'm not a fan of the color, I have no plans to do any off-roading, so the wheels and tires are wrong for my needs/wants/desires, and then I'd need to fly from the upper right corner of the country to the upper left corner and then drive back. Make no mistake, if it was a TRD Sport matching my specs, I'd be scheduling a plane ticket right freakin' now. :)

Edit: I just checked, the drive would only be 3,099 miles and take 46 hours of driving time, errr, unless I went through Canada which would cut the mileage down to 2,963 but bump the driving time to 47 hours. As much as I love a good road trip, probably not worth it for this truck.
