Sounds like we are in the same boat, my ETA is 5/12 to 5/17. Got pushed back 10 days about a week ago.

I honestly have no idea where mine's going through, it's headed to CT.

It's not even like there's a lot of accessories to add, just the tonneau cover and floormats.

thats literally just 25% less on hand, I’m not sure anyones expecting a flood of vehicles… but factory ordering vehicles is NOT the new normal. Yeah let’s just continue to lose sales to other brands because we have no inventory for 4-6 months. Not happening.

But the bottom of that sheet of paper (aka - the fine print) reads, "For information only. This is not an offer or contract for sale."

Of course, it’s not a legal contract- you think the dealer will try and pull a fast one? Highly doubtful

I think its fine. I have the same thing but without signatures etc. I am not worried. If they pull anything raise hell and speak with manager. Threaten online reviews etc. Believe me, its not worth the negative publicity on them to make a few K.

FYI (NC) - Dealer I had a previous deposit on a truck with just called and said the truck was in. She forgot I called her and told her I found another one more to my preference. The truck is a MGM DC OR 6MT with LED headlights and fog and one other thing I think, don't recall. Had initially asked them to remove all the pre-build options which they did and was a deal until they added the mark-up and "packages". Was going to stay with it but found an OR AC with no mark ups. Auto in White but preferred AC and able to find ONE.

Dealer is Classic Toyota in Wilkesboro, NC. Not sure if it remained optioned as I asked (think so as I was told it had been in my name from the initial deal) but maybe you can work something out to your satisfaction...Jaime is the manager I was talking to.

This is true. I don't have a lot of "brand" loyalty. While I'd "like" a Toyota, I've already been eyeing other brands inventory for something similar to what I want at a similar price point if Toyota can't get something to me in another month or so after already waiting since January.

Just got my wife a Mazda CX - 5 for $26,000 brand new, $28,000 sticker… hell of a deal, Mazda seems to have a nice inventory mix now, we were originally looking for Toyotas but laughed at that shopping experience. Mazda very reliable as well, I’m very impressed with the vehicle especially for the price.

My father was a mercedes guy all day long and then got fed up with all their problems and them telling him they had no fix for his panoramic sunroof but they could weld it shut and caulk it for 3k lol. He bought a CX7 and has not had to do anything with it except basic maintenance, he loves it after 10 years and 50k miles.

What's the true cost? If you buy a Tacoma at 40k and 5 years sell it for 35k what are your costs? If you buy a ranger at 40k and 5 years its 24k what's your true costs. If you wait a year and pay an extra 4k in interest since rates went from 2's to 6's what's your costs?

Do you know if yours took a boat/train? I was kind of surprised mine is only taking a truck to AZ, maybe still going through California.

My old ride failed on me. I needed a new one. Got lucky and found a used Taco in a color I wanted.
I have no plan on selling it. I typically drive my cars until they rot away (like my ride that failed).

I want what I want. I want what I need. Any extra cost up front due to market conditions / interest rates will come out in the wash because I will have this truck for 15 years. When you amortize the cost, it's not significant at all. Of course, if I choose to sell and buy again in the short term, all this changes...

Mine is in freight status with no ETA and it is showing up on the dealer's site.

It does show as "presold" in VSPEC and I have paperwork with all the prices and a $5k deposit on the truck.

I'd be surprised if my dealer had a single TRD Tacoma in stock. Might have a SR5 on the lot.

They seem to use pre sold cars as a way to get the next group of buyers in or to refer them to a used Tacoma.

Probably up to the dealer but when I called around, every truck I called about was already sold.

Bought first week of February w/week 11 build date and estimate of May for delivery
Mid March (week 11) - Temp VIN no longer works -- truck built
Last week of March - Called dealer and got real VIN - VSPEC ETA was 4/4-4/20 - Dealer estimate was 4/27
Last week went from A to F but not ETA yet on VSPEC

Coming to Massachusetts via covered wagon pulled by two old mules
