Ugh, that sucks. Thanks for the update. I'm a 13 week build and was pushed back. I haven't heard any updates from my dealer yet but he usually takes a few days to update me.

Week 13 here. Sorry to hear about this, and I'm pretty sure mine will be the same. New schedule to be built this Friday but not hanging much hope on this as I have been watching week 12 builds with no technology package and they haven't moved yet either.

I'm sorry if this is answered elsewhere, but how are you finding your scheduled build date? I'm assuming you have a temporary VIN still -- Haven't figured out how to get that datapoint with my temp VIN.

It's embedded in your temp VIN. In this example, 3TMCZ5AN4NM12C217, the "12" in the last six digits means its a week 12 build. But now with everything getting delayed, you would have to ask your dealer for an update.

Thanks. I did know about that part (I have a week 13 temp VIN), but it sounded like Taco Blanca is seeing the slated build dates someplace. Or maybe it's from dealer?

    Impatiently waiting regardless!

Yes, the week 13 build date was April 1st according to my dealer. After that day came and gone, he called to let me know it was going to be April 22nd.

Totaled my 2021 Sport last October.
Called dealer right after and put in an "order" for an exact replacement.
Dealer called in January saying that they had an allotment coming that was close but of course was 4k more in options.
    Truck was built week 10.
Watched it go through "A" to "F" to "G" status.
Truck arrived to dealer around 4/15.
Picked up 2022 Sport 6MT Access today.

Week 13 here too. Fingers crossed it actually gets built this week!

This is a real quick turn around time. Do you know where it was built? Gives me hope that I could see mine before June if it gets built on time w/o further delays.

NOW I understand how we know when our trucks were built. The first and second digits of the last six of my VIN are 07, so it was built in the 7th week of the year, correct? It's supposed to arrive here in NW Indiana in the second week of next month. My thanks to JD and Knox for looking up my VIN! I keep telling myself to be patient...:annoyed::rofl:

Reading this thread makes me realize two things....

    1. I was really incredibly lucky to find a dealer a reasonable drive away (50miles) that had an unsold order arriving that was available for me to buy in a color I would have ordered. Bonus points that they didn't charge a market adjustment.

    2. The local dealer up the road was full of shit when they told me I could put a 2k$ deposit down on an order and that it would take a "few weeks" to arrive.

Trying to be as patient as possible. Put in order on 3/11 for a TRD Off Rd dbl cab LB with technology pkg in Lunar rock. Dealer initially said 4 to 6 month wait from that date and he was hoping for an allocation early to mid April. Does his allocation expectation timeline seem a little soon or is that what most have experienced. Holding off calling him. It's only been a little over 5 weeks since my order. Should I pester him or is this the regular process?

    Built in Guanajuato.

Believe me, I feel so lucky! To add to that, I was talking to the Finance Manager this morning and she told me I was THE last out-of-state buyer they allowed before changing their policy to local customers only.

I'm telling myself the same thing...managed to only look at the app a handful of times and v-spec once while my wife and I took a trip out of state this past weekend.

Still no movement or update of any kind since the 10th, going to call the dealer tomorrow and see if they can give me an update. Sittin on 'A' status and it's due in the first week of May.

I was calling my guy every month until I got lucky at another dealer. More often seemed like a bit much since I wasn't in a huge rush to get mine.

If you actually see a new Tacoma on the lot here in Cheyenne or over the summit in Laramie it's a sold order or dealer owned to show off mods, other Toyota product choices are lean.

The dealer I'm working with has a 2020 or 2021 identical to what I have on order. It's been sitting outside for about a week now. I think they're asking $2500 over what I'm paying for a new one. I'm thinking the people here are waiting for the bubble to pop. I consider myself lucky, as my deal is for MSRP, but it's not a TRD or anything just a SR5.

I am at msrp also. Got it in writing with my build sheet and deposit reciept. Dealer seems to be genuine so far.

the second you get one allocated have the dealer get you a signed purchase agreement attached to that vin. the build sheet is goo but doesn't really mean much. If the dealer is honest, they should be happy to do so
