How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Looks like my week 13 build has been moved to April 29th.

 

Lost my original 2020 during Ida back in September. Placed the order with my original dealer who sold it to me for MSRP. Took 7 months, but I finally got my truck beginning of this month. In the end it worked out since I got the color I originally wanted (Army Green) and with all the features I wanted. Insurance also payed me close to what I paid for my original truck brand new, so I made out there too.

 

My DCLB Sport came in on Friday. Picked it up Saturday afternoon. Seems so much different from the 2014 DCLB Sport it's replacing. Was a week 11 build.

Been waiting since I made my deal in early February and it was worth the wait.

 

I just got the call. My Pro just came off the truck this morning, and will be ready to pickup tomorrow.

 

Absolutely, thank you! Just have to say that The new celestial silver is amazing, even when it’s raining or overcast it pops so much compared to silver sky. I wasn’t super excited about silver since I had only seen silver sky… once I saw this thing pop I got way More pumped. Keep the faith everybody!

 

I pick mine up Thursday, exactly 5 weeks since I put down a deposit

 

New from E Mass. Waiting on 2022 DC OR. Ordered Feb 9th, told first week of April it was canceled by Toyota but dealer able to secure another one for me. Dealer says it’s scheduled to finish “processing” the 21st and expect 2-4 weeks after that. According to temp VIN it’s a week 12 build. Impatient.

 

Welcome! Thanks for adding another data point. Your dealer has given you better insight than mine. Mine is "processing" also ("week 12" build too) but I haven't been able to get any meaningful update or estimate out of them.

 

My truck was a week 11 build and my temp VIN stopped working on 3/17. Arrived @ my dealer in eastern Massachusetts on 4/15 and they were ready for me to pick it up that day. Got it on 4/16 because I had to get my truck and title together and couldn't get it in time for the 15th. So basically a month in my case to give you a data point.

 

I received an update from my salesman. My truck appears to be processing exactly on schedule so far. Not sure if this helps anyone else. Build is an off-road DCSB MT with only LED and all weather mats as options. Build date was 4/6.

edit: status has been A all along despite being on a train already.

The shipping info that I posted above was from my dealer. It looks like you still have a temporary VIN due to the "C" in the last 6 digits of your VIN, so I'm assuming you're still waiting for your truck to be built.

I've got 13 local Toyota dealerships book marked with their online Tacoma inventory and check it periodically. I've got a deposit for a Pro with a manual transmission but stumbled across a TRD Offroad Premium with a manual transmission at another dealership in another city.

Call the dealer and talk to a salesman, "Hey I'm interested in this truck, here's the stock number, I just need to know if y'all have a dealer mark-up or market adjustment whatever you want to call it."

Salesman, "Let me ask my manager."

Me, "You don't need to bug him or waste his time, I just need to know if y'all have a market adjustment on your vehicles?"

Salesman, "I need to ask him to get you the best possible price."

Me, "Thanks for your time man, have a great day!"

I still have a deposit down at my local dealer and he's been communicating well, with no mark ups so I'll continue to be patient.

 

I’ve done that. My dealer is not marking up, the others I’ve contacted are marking up at least $1,500. I agree, deposit down and waiting it out.

 

I had a similar go around with one of my local dealers. The conversation went south when I asked if they were going to pay me interest on the $2000 deposit they wanted on a truck they couldn't guarantee me they could get......If in 6 months I want my 2k back. I feel bad if people fall into these scams of large deposits and markups.
