Talking to my salesman today. I placed an order on a MGM 2022 TRD OR AC 6M on Jul 8th

He said its been accepted by the system and says "pending" as status.

He figures 2 months from the time that pending status changes to when it could arrive.

Guess I will keep an eye on this thread to see how others process develops.

Congrats! I think that makes you the first self-proclaimed publicly-documented 2022 accepted allocation holder. This gives us some promise they are on the way. Different note-anyone hear of stop-start making it to 2022? I hope this is not the case!

I have an accepted order for a 2022 Lunar Rock TRD OR MT with an ETA of late October/Early November. I’m sure that will change but we will see how it goes.

Did you guys with the accepted allocations specify LED headlights? I heard that slows down the process.

Yea I was adamant on the LED headlights and fogs. From what I heard Toyota ran out of stock of the LEDs early last year but that has been corrected. In fact when I was going through the list of Tacoma’s on the way to some dealers almost everyone of them now have LEDs.

I put in a deposit last Friday for a 2022 TRD OR in Lunar Rock but haven’t heard anything from the dealership yet. Hearing you guys getting allocations accepted is exciting news!

Up here in the great white north you can only get LED on Trail and Pro. I wish I could get them on the Off Road. But no dice they tell me.

In on the new thread. Waiting on my dealer to let me know when they’ll start taking deposits down for the 22’s.

I just got word from Toyota that the physical production for 2022s (at least in canada) will be starting production on August 15th. (At this time, tommorow)

Can you be sure on Tacoma’s and not other models? When I stopped off at the dealer they showed me daily dealer and they still had 2021 Tacoma’s lined up for the next 2-3 weeks my truck included.

I have a sheet in front of me with August 15th. I'm not particularly keen on releasing it and looking my job lol, as it details new releases as well. It's possible it's different for American market ones I suppose.

Pro only color is the lime green (I'm forgetting the actual name of it lol) . Lunar rock replaces Cement. Voodoo discontinued. Blue crush added, and yes, it's basically the same color as the camry posted earlier in this thread. Possible discontinuation of the SR/SR5 Access cab, It isn't listed in my order system, but that could always be added in an update that I just haven't received yet. Earliest deliveries that we could see of 2022's are end of October, more likely mid to late November. Backlog of 2021s are coming to dealers till mid to late september depending on how quick they ship. That's all I know, really. Toyota keeps us in the dark a little. Feel free to PM me about me getting you an allocation at close to MSRP if you're interested and in Ontario (that goes for anyone reading this). I do have a little info about the Corrola Cross, but I don't think anyone here is interested in that

    Thank you.

Seems odd they are dropping cement when literally every car maker offers it right now.

Odd indeed, also odd that they seem to be dropping SR/SR5 ACLBs. I hope they don't but the signs point to them doing so.

Hey guys this is my first post on the forum, I've had two Tacoma's previously a 2014 trd sport and a 16 dcsb sr5. I've been eyeing this thread for a week or so, figured I would post my updates. I work for a Honda dealership and one of our sister stores is a Toyota dealer that I used to work at for 5 yrs so. I'm in good with the sales person, sales managers and gm, so I will have good communication on the whole process, hopefully it will help some of yall that aren't getting good communication from your dealership. I'm fairly early in the process but will keep updating as I get info. I called my salesman and placed my order a week ago on 8/9/21 for a 2022 lunar rock trd offroad dcsb premium package with led headlights and tech package, he told me to expect around 3 months. He texted me today and told me that their 2nd allocation for this month will be Wednesday or Thursday and he will call and let me know whether or not it has been allocated he's thinking it should be no problem.
One thing that blew my mind is this is a decently high volume Toyota dealer (sell around 400 total cars a month) and the first allocation of August Toyota didn't allocate them one Tacoma, kinda scary lol.

Well salesman just texted me and said that Toyota stopped all new or cancelled all allocations across U.S. I'm assuming he meant just Tacoma's but either way not the news I was wanting to hear

Yea, I’m going to guess that they never had any information to begin with. Nor could they even start the process to try and allocate a 2022.

Well he was on the phone with me last week when placing the order with the woman who does the orders/dealer trades and their system allowed her to order my 2022. The order was sent to Toyota they are just not allowing any allocations currently, but as soon as they do my order is already in and will be allocated as soon as Toyota allows them allocations from what I understood :notsure: I might go by there later and talk to the sales manager to get more info.
