For the guys talking about delays... The dealer told me today that the factory building the Rav4's was decimated by the tornadoes in the midwest and there is a chance that some production gets switched to other factories causing delays in "other models" but didnt say which models...

    Brand new.
    Good Morning,
I order a new 2022 Model TRD -Offroad and I was told 4-6 months, the dealership is to tell me on Saturday as where they stand with their allocations. if I knew the wait was this long I would of bought something else.
Of course they have my $ 500.00 deposit, and all i have is a wait list #

Deposit placed for a 2022 DCLB TRD Sport 4x4 (7566) specifically cloth interior.

Deposit placed 12/8/21. I got the "wait and see" from the salesman at Longo Toyota.

He did mention there was one with those specs for sale on the lot 2 weeks ago as another person who placed a deposit backed out. If I had placed the deposit earlier that would've been designated to me. So I'm guessing there are no other deposits for my specifications currently, which gives me hope! Need to get rid of this 2011 Equinox before it grenades.

First time post... first time truck owner... first time (soon-to-be) Tacoma owner! So excited!

I started the process for my Barcelona Red 2022 DCSB TRD Sport 4x4 MT back in mid October... was told they would have it at the dealer on 12/29... hopefully that holds true...

Will post pics and more detailed timeline once it is a done deal!

Im filtering through this thread, and have yet to be able to determine what is being built currently, and what is next

Are they building just short beds, long beds, Mts/Ats/ DBcabs or AccCabs, is it maybe just the pre orders? I cant imagine they retool an entire assembly line for only a few days?

This may answer it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dT1BWDsf90U start around 2:08. Basically Toyota builds all sorts of things at once, at least they have that capability.

This was a great video, and explained it perfectly. So I guess my order for my Trail Edition in army green isn't really getting built to order, but my dealer is just trying to find what I want from allocation. Dealer definitely didn't make that clear and made it seem like they put in the order and my truck will be ready in 10-12 weeks. I may have to shop a few other dealers? I'm in the south east in Georgia.

What part of Georgia? I've got both Milton Martin and Beaver Toyota trying to get me an allocation on a Pro.

I think Trail and Pro are currently delayed due to a few new parts that have to go with those builds compared to 2021s. My speculation is Toyota is trying to build up inventories of things like the new UCAs and new wheels for these models. But that's just a guess.

Trails are already being allocated to dealers, I work at one and we have a 2022 trail black scheduled to be built 01/10. No allocations for Pro's yet, there is not one allocated for no one yet.

Is it an "allocation" if there is a temporary VIN? Here are the four that have been posted to autotrader at one time or another..
