Rod, Could you please run my vin? 3TYCZ5AN7NT071862 Mine went to "F" about 35 days ago with ending eta of 5/3. Now I have no eta. Dealer has tried to keep me updated but says it could be tomorrow or June. Also my tire pressure and fuel level started reporting on 5/2.

It arrived by rail to Logistics Park on 05/03. I am assuming is on the Chicago area, shows it need to get on one more truck next stop is your dealership.

    Here’s a story:

September 21st - got rear ended at 100mph on the highway ending the life of my ‘02 shortly after she passed 300k

October 15th - new truck ordered from Malone Toyota in SLC. Same truck 20 years newer and green

May 4th - reading this and seeing people who ordered in March get trucks… Also saw my build pop up at a dealership in cincy and several others. They said they were ordered 5 weeks ago?

have I been skipped? Is allocation totally random or do they follow an order?

Truck was build 04/28, processing to depart by rail. Looks like out of San Diego

Toyota's system for determining what goes where is by far the most confusing thing about this process to me. My previous employer was in the midst of a drastic transformation and had us all studying the Toyota Production System (TPS) as we tried to get lean. Everything I thought I learned about TPS emphasized only building a product when there was a specific buyer ready to purchase -- and minimizing stockpiling months' worth of inventory. The idea was efficiency and reducing overhead across the board while being able to pivot quickly based on changes in the market.

What I have learned about the way they do things these days seems to contradict that, but I guess there's probably some rhyme and reason at a perspective we just cannot see from the outside looking in. Still confounding. Every allocation, my local dealer gets a few 2WD/4 Cyl (Doesn't make a lot of sense in my market) that sit on the lot for months - which violates what I thought was the key principle there.

Edit: Sorry, I got on a soapbox. To answer your question: I don't think it means you've been skipped, but your dealer may not yet have been allocated a truck matching the specs you're looking for. The kissmygrits sheet used to be nice for tracking other dealerships to broaden your search. Chances are some dealer within a couple hours of you has probably gotten a truck like you're searching for at some point. But the sheet doesn't seem to be working as these issues with the tracking/freight system have come up. I would recommend calling around a bit and just getting on a couple dealers' radars.

Rod, could you please check on mine?

    3TYCZ5AN5NT072802

Dealer told me it was built 3/26 and original ETA was 4/22, haven't been able to get an update since. "It'll be here in 5 minutes or 5 weeks..." Still "F" on v-specs and has been for quite some time.

Idk exactly what is going on, but I do know everything is behind. Every single vehicle ETA is not available anymore.

Lack of trucks is my guess.

Our trucks must've been on the same ship, mine also got to Newark on the 30th. My salesman just got back to me with a guess of middle of the month for ETA. I wonder why all of a sudden there's issues, the last few months of reading this thread typically showed a switch from 'F' to 'G' pretty quickly, and delivery very soon afterwards.

Rail departed 05/03, ETA to ABQ shows as 05/11. After that it gets on the truck to the dealership.

Usually, you have to qualify for Tier 1 level credit. In other words, really good credit, I think above 741 qualifies.

The logistics park is in Elwood, IL about 35 SW of Chicago. Huge place. I read it's around 20,000 acres.
