    Hi I'm Jon from Ottawa.
I have put a deposit on a TRD Pro MT on December 2nd and was told 4-6month wait. I was not picky on color as I know just finding a manual will be hard. I've finally retired my 1986 4wd 22r 5spd. Will be quite the upgrade and worth the wait! Praying its not lime green...

    Hi - new to forum.

Our family only drives Toyotas (Corolla/Rav4/Highlander/4Runner) and hoping to add the Tacoma to the collection! Put in my order last week at the dealer for a '22 TRD OR AT with all options (except tonneau). I really wanted cement, almost picked lunar rock, and instead just went with the new celestial silver metallic. Getting the black out accessory kit and some other things. Dealer said they will strip out from the order what they can install when it arrives, they said I should hear something in 2 months. I figure the generic silver color with common options should be easy to get. I originally wanted cloth seats (my current 2007 R4runner 318K seats held up great), but a couple of friends said they had an easier time getting one with leather. While not exactly how I would build it, the configuration I'm told might be easier to get sooner. Will update as I hear things.

Waiting sucks man. I'm rocking an 06 Colorado and it has seen better days. Time for a new one! The lime isn't really my color either but it is still a nice looking truck.

I was into the Kanata Dealership and they said 2-4 months for the TRD Sport or the TRD Offroad.

I "ordered" a DCSB TRD sport premium, LED, advanced tech on Sep 18. I heard back from dealer on Dec 2 that they found a close match allocation, different color and no advanced tech package, and I had them put my name on it. It is supposed to be built tomorrow Dec 23 so fingers crossed it shows up mid January.

Knowing that production for 22s was beginning of November, I went to the dealer in early October. I believe they were already receiving allocations for 22 models so maybe try a little sooner than a month? My dealer was able to get my TRD OR from a trade with another dealer for me.

That was not completely accurate. My dealer had a TRDOR 6MT with Premium and advanced technology packages on allocation to it, but it was in Silver Sky and I wanted Barcelona Red Metallic. I also wanted the OEM Tonneau which has to be done at the factory. My dealer was able to get the factory to change the color to Barcelona Red Metallic and add the tonneau to their existing allocation. So, some tweaking of an existing allocation is allowed as opposed to asking for such a configuration on a future allocation. YMMV.

My dealer would not let me change the color of mine but maybe they weren't sure they could do that. Mine started as a base off road in lunar rock with 6MT and I was able to add premium, LEDs, tech package, and other addons. Also after changing the allocation my build date got pushed back 2 weeks but I'm not sure if it was from the changes or not.

Just talked to my dealer and we have an allocation, 22' TRDOR DC, White, Premium MT, Advanced Tech, with LED headlights. We ordered 12/2/21 so was only 3 weeks to get allocated but we did have to take our 3rd choice color. The truck is scheduled to be built 1/11/22 so we should get it the last week in Jan.

That is what is crazy with this market. I got my '22 like I wanted it and got it for the same price I was finding 19s and 20s with 60,000 miles on them. I see Pros going for under 50k new....if you aren't in a hurry new is cheaper than used. I figure most pros will be between 48-49k.
