Getting my 22 Pro for 48k and change before taxes. Also hoping the trade in value on my Tundra is still in the high 40s as well.

Really depends on the dealership. The 2 dealers here in North Georgia that I have orders with are at MSRP. Seems like dealerships out west can get away with screwing people.

My Dealer confirmed 10k markup for PRO's WHEN they get an allocation, they haven't had one for 4 months and he also told me they were the 5th highest volume Toyota dealer in 21' for the country. He also has 8 people already with deposits down for the 10k markup so probably wouldn't have seen one until 23'. In CO even with a 10k markup it's a better deal than the used prices so I can't say I blame them but I will never pay a dime over MSRP.

My salesman just called and said my truck is now in F status. When I asked what that meant he said it was in A status and is now in F status and it should arrive within 5 weeks. Does anyone have more information on what the status code means?

Seems they could dumb it down a bit. Before mine arrived the dealer called and said it was at port. He called a week later and said it was at their lot come and get it!

F (freight) or G (ground)…F means it is on a rail car and being shipped to an area probably 250 miles or less to where the dealer is located. When it hits G status that means it is on a truck headed to the dealer

Somebody was asking earlier if a dealer has control over port accessories. Mine does, so I’m guessing all do. He took off the mudflaps and added bed lights and a tailgate remote lock. All reflected in the temp vin. Don’t let them make you buy the predator steps fellas.

Hello taco nerds! My first post!

Been reading a lurking without an account for a week or two. Placed a deposit(12/17) on a Wind chill Pearl, TRD Sport DCSB. This is my first Toyota, and first new car since 2004. I've owned over 100 vehicles since I was 16. Drove a buddies 21 4runner TS and essentially fell in love, lol.

Appreciate all the information in this thread. It has kind of set my mind at ease. When I looked at the Taco the dealer had on the lot, I couldn't justify the price on a 3 year old, 50k mile example for 3 grand less than a new one. Told them what I wanted, and what I would be happy with, pretty flexible. LED and Tech pack had been must haves(hate chrome, sick of halogen bulbs). Came up with the aforementioned WCP TRD Sport. Slept on it, went back two days later and dropped a deposit. Truck had a temp VIN at that time.

Pretty excited, hoping my 04 Trashfinder doesn't demand any more money from me, lol.

Wow, you got lucky. I've been waiting since mid July for a WCP taco allocation. I'm curious to see your timeline from here on out.

How or where do you see build date, I have my Guest link from my dealer that takes me to my build details with temp VIN but there is nothing on build date?

If you look at your temp VIN, For example, the last 6 digits of your temp VIN read 22b567. The truck is to be built the 22nd week of the year. That is my understanding. My temp VIN reads 02 before the letter. I was also told week of January 10 by the dealer. That happens to be the second week of the year, corresponding with the 02 in the temp VIN.

Someone went over it earlier in this thread. I had to read it a few times to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

Oh cool thanks for that, mine is a 03B802 so that would be the 3rd week in Jan but my dealer told me build day was 1/11 with 1/25 delivery. They must include Sat 1/1 as week one then Mon 1/3 as week 2??

Keep in mind, and this has been a thing for as long as I can remember, that build date is not for the day, but the week of. So if your number is 03, I would think assembly would commence in the third week. Your delivery time will definitely vary. I live in New Jersey, so I expect weeks between assembly and arrival at the dealer. If you live on the west coast, you will definitely have it much quicker than I.
