How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Thats why I cant see the info, Southeast its separate of what I got.

My truck was last known to be on the rail from San Diego to the LP in Jessup, MD. Yesterday I finally got some door unlock alerts and info on my app showing a few miles on the odometer and a near empty gas tank. Does that mean it is now off the rail and waiting for transport to the dealer? How long does it typically sit at the LP? When did ya'll begin getting tire pressure info? Was it after it had arrived at the dealer? Appreciate the info!

 

Well Vspec finally updated to G but no movement on the app or any updates from my dealer, it has been at the rail yard for about a week now, hoping with this change to G that it's finally moving to the dealer.....

 

That smartkey feature being added to SR5's is a nice upgrade. It was one of my factors for choosing the OR trim along with all the other options.

People that want a proven 3rd Gen platform probably should start jumping on within the next few months or deal with the initial 4th gen hiccups for a couple years.

 

It looks awesome, too. Way cooler than the lime every seems to want IMO

4/25 - Called one of the last dealerships on my list anticipating being put on a call list. Instead, I got lucky and there was an unspoken allocation of what I was looking for with a 5/5 build date. Pay deposit and received temp VIN
5/5 - original build date, temp VIN stopped working VSPEC
5/9 - contacted dealer and received permanent VIN
5/9 - 5/12 Noon - VSPEC shows A status, no notifications within the Toyota app
5/12 Afternoon - VPSEC shows F status, no notifications within the Toyota app
5/17 - Rod's info - Rail departed on 5/6, VSPEC is still showing "F" status

At this point, I'm just going to text my salesperson weekly. not to bug him, but he understands I need to book a flight and it's cheaper to do it in advance as much as possible.

 

@Rod03 Are you able to check VIN status's for the west coast region, Hawaii area to be more specific, or are you locked into one area of the states only?

I believe there are now 2 plants in Mexico. I believe the San Antonio location is only producing Tundras.

 

Doubtful since Hawaii is not part of Toyota USA, but that would be sweet if it worked! I'm assuming you're in Hawaii? How did you get a VIN if you don't mind me asking? My salesman (Windward) just told me yesterday that about 250 Tacoma orders slated for Hawaii had been delayed from May/Jun to Aug/Sep. Was a real bummer to hear...might have to go with a MY23 at this point.

 

They're in 2 facilities: Baja California facility, in Tijuana, Mexico and another in Guanajuato, Mexico. Looks like 3TM is Baja California Facility and 3TY is Guanajuato, but I'm not 100% sure

 

Look at the 7th digit from the end. If it is an M it is from Baja California. If it is a T it is from Guanajuato.
