Mine was built on 3/17. It has been at the Port since 4/27. It is 280 miles from the Port to the Dealer. Hasn't moved an inch. Toyota apparently washes their hands of the vehicles once they leave the factory. That's what they told me at least. So if Toyota isn't in control of when or how a vehicle leaves the Port, and the Dealer isn't in control of getting vehicles out of the Port, how the hell do any of them ever get out of the Port? Why does Toyota have a Logistics Center at the Port if they don't do anything? I wanted a Toyota, but I don't need one.

Go to home on the head unit, select apps. It may ask you to update the software, it takes about a minute. After that there should be a Toyota window you can click on. If your truck is set up with remote connect it will ask you for a code that is email to you. This will activate the remote connect, allow you to start and lock and unlock the doors.

Is that factory height or does that truck have the TRD lift? Waiting on the same truck. Love the AG!

I'm in the same boat. I wanted a truck with a bed, with Toyota being the best choice due to reliability and how they hold their value. I don't absolutely need one though. With trade in values dropping by the day, it's making less financial sense if the trade in offer drops significantly given I have a 4runner that I owe zero on which was built in Japan, not Mexico, and should last another 150-200k miles. I'll likely give this one more week and, if I'm in the same boat as today, I'll cancel the reservation and get my $500 back. If it does get delivered this week and the dealer offers $4-5k less on trade in, I'll walk away also. It just isn't a good decision financially any longer if that's how it winds up playing out.

VSPEC shows F status, so still in Freight from the factory to a logistics facility somewhere in your region or sitting at the logistics facility waiting on a truck to deliver to your dealer.

I sold my previous truck a few months back, so I need to get another one sooner rather than later. My wife's car can't do it all. But, I want this truck for the manual. Take the manual out of the equation, and I'm getting either a Frontier, or maybe a Tundra, or buying used. I was really hoping the gas prices would start to bring down the price of full size trucks, but not even close to happening, at least where I am.

Lots of discussion about delivery times, so I'll throw my situation into the discussion:
My truck was built on 4/25. As of now, it is still showing as "A" on the VSPEC page and per Rod is just now getting to Veracruz from Guanajuato. So It's still got to make a trip from whatever yard it's in now to the port, to then travel to the US before departing to go to the dealer. I'm expecting it probably won't get to me until late June, which seems to be on the later end of normal for folks on here. The weirdest part for me is that the page hasn't updated to show "F" yet, though some have said it only did that once the truck was loaded on a railcar/vessel.

Same here. The manual is the reason why I want the Tacoma, and I prefer the Tacoma over the Gladiator. Plus, with this truck I can even have the option to haul my sports car to the track.

Picked it up Saturday. Only put about 50 miles on it but it is much quieter than my 2016 was. Transmission is much batter as well but I’m still going to tune it. Installed the Diamondback tonneau, seat covers, wireless CarPlay, Hondo Garage radio knobs, blackout inserts on the tailgate and the black covers over them chrome badging. Tires, wheels and suspension going on Wednesday and will tint the windows whenever my guy can get me in. Overall really pleased with the truck.

Truck won’t fit in the garage without moving my workbench and toolbox. My wife parks her car in the garage buy I have AC in the garage and wanted to work on the truck in the AC but that was a no go. It’s only 150% humidity today so after sweating while putting the seat covers on it’s time to crack open a cold one throw some meat on the smoker and watch some golf and hockey.

I started out wanting a Gladiator, but the price, combined with reading all about the numerous reliability issues owners were having with them made my choice easy. Even if I don't follow through with a Tacoma, I won't consider a Gladiator.

I had the Gladiator on my radar for awhile, but I had a hard time getting past the overall length compared to a Tacoma DCSB, price/bang for the buck, and reliability.
As a 2012 JK Wrangler owner comparing to my wife's 2013 FJ Cruiser in overall satisfaction, the Toyota product is a better deal from my experience, we've owned both since new with comparable mileage.

Yup. I've also considered the Bronco, but wasn't sure of how it would fare long-term quality wise.

Before that, I wanted another performance car that's practical. Either a Lancer Evolution or a Civic Type-R. But they got expensive for what they are IMO, my priorities changed, and I already have a sports car I enjoy.

I like the new Bronco, but I'd probably go with a 4Runner before I bought a Bronco. My 5th Gen 4Runner treated me very well. It never gave me any trouble and I walked away from the rear end collision that totaled it without a scratch. Also if I'm not mistaken the 4Runner is rated a little better on the towing end (3500 on the Bronco vs. 5000 on the 4Runner).

I like the Gladiator but my wife doesn't really care for them. I also know like three people who bought one shortly after they came out. They all three had issues during the short time they owned them. Two of them traded theirs in on a Tacoma and the third traded his in on a Tundra

In the beginning of March I put down a deposit on a TRD Sport at my local dealership. I was told it would be approximately 90 days. Each allocation that came in my sales person told me there wasn't anything for me. Last week I went on their website and noticed several new Tacoma's were listed, many were not "sales pending" either so I texted my sales person, when I got no response I called them but got their voicemail and they never called me back. After I got home from work I was telling my wife about it and we decided to call the dealership again but this time ask for another salesperson just to see what info I could find. Interestingly this salesperson told me they were just allotted several Tacoma's that week that no customers had claimed yet. They had the Sport I wanted available, coming in late July, and almost told the guy to put my name down on it until I saw an SR5 XP Predator for the same price arriving in June. I started comparing the two trucks on the website while on the phone with the sales person and it was just a gut instinct but I liked the XP Predator more (and so did my wife, she actually hates the stickers that the OR and Sport have on the side of the bed).

I told this sales person I wanted the Predator if possible and he told me its mine and entered it in the system. If it arrives when expected I should have it in 5 weeks. I am very fortunate that I called that night and asked to talk to a different sales person or I might still not have a truck reserved for me.

Yup you are correct. And the Tacoma has a higher tow capacity than both.

The Tacoma checks all of my boxes and I can deal with its shortcomings. I just have to hope Toyota allocates a manual Tacoma to my dealers while they are still offering it.
