How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Build 05/23, processing still to leave by truck.

 

Congrats, I have found driving thru and randomly showing up at dealers is better than just putting in a deposit and waiting. That's how I got my EL Pro Manual. Showed up 5 minutes after they received their new allocation list on my way to costco just asked what they had coming in the guy said nothing but let me check. He walked up and said just this but it's a manual . I did the same with Rav4 prime showed up just as someone couldn't get financed, Same with our 4runner TRD pro. If you happen to be in the area of a dealer just stop by never know what is happening. There is a long list on that deposit list and you jump right up front when physically there.

 

Today is the build day for my Limited.
Just sitting here, refreshing my V-spec and checking status code every hour.

 

Can someone explain the general timeline between getting a temp VIN (3TMGZ5AN3NM22A575) and it going permanent where it can be tracked through v-spec?

 

Saw something the other day where if a car gets a ding or damage under 1k and it's repaired by Toyota it doesn't have to be disclosed when buying new. Anything over that the dealer has to disclose. Not sure if this would be a "QC" check but I would double check the paint when you get it.

 

QC checks must be the new reason to keep supply low since it was picking up? Just got the text “Showing a port hold for added safety inspections. Trying to get more information on ETA”

 

Finally in G! 26 days after build date.

 

Looks like its build date has passed. I'd ask for a permanent VIN.

 

I have a question, where exactly do you go to see the different status updates, F and G stuff? I looked it up on Vspec I can see the specs but I don't see any status updates or anything. Thanks.

 

After entering the permanent VIN into the V spec URL in Chrome, click the 3 dots in the upper right corner -> More Tools -> Developer Tools -> refresh the page -> click on your VIN in the dialog box.

 

Confirmation of allocation and temp VIN were sent to me 5/20. Build date was last week, but isn't production lagging quite a bit?

 

Seems like they're drawing builds out of a hat at this point.

 

Mine has been built, but my salesman tells me he can't give me a permanent VIN until it makes it to the port (Houston). Not sure if each region operates differently or what, but seems like not everyone is being told the same thing.

 

I'm In North Carolina and was told the same thing about permanent VIN by dealer. was told I get it 10 or so days before delivery, Which Im told is June 30th.. We will see

 

Well, that makes me feel better that someone is being told the same thing. I just started doubting my salesman when I see guys tracking their truck while it's still in Mexico.

Good luck on your June 30 date. I was told last week it would be here end of this week and then I find out its not even at the port yet.

I'm leaving Sunday for two weeks to work on a project in Mexico for my company, and my salesman is saying he thinks the truck will arrive within 10 days. I feel like that's doubtful based on your previous updates, but wanted to check anyway. Thanks!

 

Truck Vessel departed on 05/26, in route to Newark.

 

Appreciate it sir! I'm going to go ahead and assume It probably won't get to the dealer before I leave, and that it might arrive the second week that I'm gone. They're cool with holding it for two weeks, but I'd rather not push it just in case they do something shady.
