How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Truck was build on 05/20, processing to leave by rail to ABQ out of San Diego.

 

Vessel arrived to Long Beach on 04/27, shows it still there. Needs to get on one more truck straight to the dealership.

 

I can only see the spec sheet, no tracking info.

 

Long story:
So I have a deposit down on a 2022 TRD Sport White 4x4 AT DCSB tech package & sport package since 5/4. This dealership is located outside my state, couldn’t find anything available in state at the time. Rod03 gave me a build date of 6/4 (more than my salesman ever did! Thank you Rod, not all hero’s wear capes); however members in here are saying 3-4 week waits on their build date. Also the shipping sounds absolutely horrid with people waiting weeks/months to receive their tacos after their build dates. So I’m thinking my white taco will not even be here until September or later. My salesman is still texting me that the white taco will be here mid July, even after I asked him if my build date will be affected due to recent production cuts & shortages. I’m one of those who cannot afford to wait, I need a vehicle now as I have been without one since April due to a MVA (everyone is fine). So I continued my taco hunt after reading this thread. Over Memorial Day weekend, I contacted another dealership, a 2022 TRD PRO 4x4 AT DCSB EL is here in the state just waiting to hit the ground. $5000 over MSRP; but not much more than the Sport taco with all the packages added & some of the dealer add ons (steps, tonneau cover, bed mat). So I made the deal & went with the 2022 TRD PRO EL. I keep telling myself that I lucked out in today’s crazy market after I set my heart ♥️ On a Taco and they are super hard to get new. Buying used is nutty too as they cost just as much if not more than a new one. I also keep telling myself that I will learn to love the electric lime metallic. Think I’ll name her Lucky. That $5000 over MSRP does hurt but I need a vehicle and I set my heart ♥️ On a taco.
long story short: I would just like to thank everyone here, especially Rod03, he has taco powers! Reading all of your comments on this thread has given me knowledge to buy a taco in today’s crazy market. Hopefully, she hits the ground this week as I plan on going to pick up Lucky on Saturday. My taco hunt is over.

My build was supposed to happen last week on 5/23. I can find the vspec and that it is going to the right dealer, also watched the dealer pull the vspec sheet with a "Processing" status when I was there a few days ago. They indicated that "it is still being built" and will not hear anything until their next allocation information. Sounds weird from all that I have read here.

PS There is Sainthood in the plans for you for keeping all of us informed!

 

Shows the truck was build on 05/23, has not move yet. Needs to get on a truck to get to a rail yard.
