How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

This is my first post on here, and I wanted to share some recent news for anyone else waiting for a 2022 Tacoma. It sounds like many 2022 Tacomas being built within the next few months will now be delivered without certain safety/tech features like Blind Spot Monitoring (at least in California).

I've been waiting nearly a full year to buy a TRD Offroad in Lunar Rock with Advanced Tech, Premium Package, and LED headlights at MSRP/sticker price. I've located many trucks with this configuration, but none of the dealers were willing to sell them at MSRP/sticker in CA (with those specific options). I'm still on several waitlists at dealers who are selling at MSRP, but the lists are long...

Yesterday, my name was finally called for a Lunar Rock that I can purchase for MSRP!!... However, the dealer followed up this morning to tell me a large portion of Tacomas in CA will now be delivered without Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) system....including my truck. I assume this might also remove Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) functionality?

The truck raill arrived on 05/31 at Orrilia. It was placed on hold on 05/23.

This is my first post, i am really anxious for.my new allocated tacoma. My eta date was supposed to be today (right on my birthday) my dealer hasnt been great with updates, and i have managed to find more out about the truck than what he has shared with me! This will be my first tacoma, i have wanted one for years! @Rod03 do you think you could check and see where my truck is for me please. Ive been left in the dark! It was built 5/16 and that is the last update my dealer has given me. I checked toyota app and the odometer finally went from n/a to 4 miles. So im hoping it is on the move now! 3TMCZ5AN7NM499491

IMO, I really hope this is true moving forward regardless of the eventual destination state. Some manufacturers are already doing this type of stuff, it's about time Toyota got on board. I could honestly care less about BSM, but I wonder if Toyota plans on adding it to these trucks sometime in the future once the chips are more readily available.

Nothing come sup with the VIN.

I can agree with this. My local dealer had a recent allocation and it seemed like none of the TRD trims had the tech package on it.

The truck rail departed on 06/03, in route to Rolla.

 

So I was told by the original dealer I worked with that I likely will not be able to get a OR DCSB MT with premium package (no tech).... true?? I got no idea, anyone got feedback on that?

They did have the exact truck I want except without premium, so I drove it (have not driven a 6 MT taco yet), and there is no doubt I want it, but really not wanting to make the concession of the prem package... sure most of it can be added but....

I sent a email to the other dealer I recently started working with to get their take on not being able to get the truck with prem pkg. I have been waiting awhile, and really am not in a hurry, current truck is more than fine to get me through, so depending what dealer 2 says, I likely will wait it out.
