getting anxious so purchased some mods from various places
Husky floor liners, weathertec bug/rock deflector, tailgate letter inlays
The letter inlays for the rear camera area, and glovebox from Esty, the TRD Off Road Badge, and the rubber inlays from Amazon and the Shift Knob from Ebay, it says 2019 but the part number I crossed with Toyota and it's the same

I had ordered a TRD OR 6MT in Celestial Silver. Dealer called yesterday and said delivery was pushed back to 7/14 but they had a similar truck in Magnetic Gray. I picked up the Magnetic Gray today so if anybody is looking for a pretty basic TRD OR 6MT in silver, let me know, I know where one is available. MSRP but I think they are charging $1000 to out of state buyers.

I placed my deposit on March 8, and I got a truck allocated to me I think it was May 17th or 18th. It was scheduled to be delivered June 24th. It then got pushed back to June 30th, then July 6th, then July 8th.

This past Monday I called the dealer to see if it was still expected to arrive on July 8th and they said yes. The truck had been built on June 21st and it was arriving at a port that day (on Monday) so everything looked good. The next day I looked my truck up online on the Toyota site and it was pushed back to August 1st. I called my dealer and they confirmed the new August date. I had previously posted about this.

My wife and I were very frustrated by this news and I called a Nissan dealership. They had three new Frontiers on the lot so I scheduled a test drive for Tuesday after work. What I didn't know is that after I told my wife about the date being pushed back and me scheduling a Frontier test drive that night, she started calling around to local Toyota dealers asking if any had a new 2022 4x4 Tacoma available for sale. As it turns out one dealer did. They told her they had just gotten in a new TRD Sport 4x4 in Blue Crush Metallic that day and it was still available. My wife informed me about it, and we test drove it that night and bought it. It was MSRP priced also. I'm still amazed at how it all worked out, all thanks to God.

The truck is so much fun to drive. I will say it is definitely a bigger and higher truck than what I thought it would be (my last was a 93 Toyota truck lol). The blue crush metallic really does change in color depending on the lighting, its pretty cool.

Thank you, I like it too and how it changes in color with the amount of sunlight. I have heard during a sun set it looks purple. Here it is later in the evening in the shade and it’s almost dark blue.

Yeah, a Blue Crush Sport (with adv tech package) was exactly what I was aiming for back in January when I began this whole waiting around saga.
Jeze it's so freaking hard to get ahold of a truck. I wish Toyota would just build to-spec instead of doing this traditional allocate to dealerships nonsense.

I hear you and feel for you, I have read your posts and understand your frustration. I agree there has to be a better way for Toyota to go about it.

What's up with the removal of vspec? Toyota not liking people trying to track their orders?
Seems like a pretty bad way to go about handling things.
