Yessir, the VIN was on the dealership website. But the VIN# on the site just changed....did they sell my truck lol

When I made my deposit, it was on VIN# 3TYCZ5AN1NT01A057

But the website now shows a truck with VIN # 3TYCZ5ANXNT062413

Dont think so. From what I have seen, they give a temporary vin prior to production. Once the truck goes into production, the temp one goes away and you get a real vin.

Okay good. That makes sense, especially right now as the truck is right between VIN#s. Neither VIN gives me a result when I put it into the toyota specification tool. It literally worked this morning, so likely means my truck is actually getting built.

I just did the same thing. Got very excited, refreshed and it was there again. Oh well, back to living vicariously through TW for now.

3rd week. I don't remember the sales guy giving me an actual build date, might be written down somewhere but was told end of January to early February for arrival.

The original temporary vin# changed after the build. My truck took 10 days after build to delivery.

How does the title ad valorem tax work in this case? Do you have to pay KY and GA taxes?

If my temp vin with a build date of 01xxxx no longer works (on Toyota VIN lookup), I suppose that means, its been built????

I'm not sure if this counts, but I placed an order and gave a deposit for a 2021 Pro at the end of January 2021. I got regular updates, but the last update said my 2022 Pro will probably be here in March.

I really dont, I'm would be guessing. When I gave my deposit I was told it would be about 1 or 2 weeks until the build date. I received the truck in exactly 4 weeks after leaving my deposit. Keep in mind this was a truck that was already scheduled for this dealers inventory.

I just looked it up, once on the assembly line it takes under 24 hours to build.

You waited a whole year and never got one, is your dealer super small? What did the dealer say while you were waiting? At what point we’re they like ehhh sorry we can’t get one for you?

Good question. One year is a ridiculous amount of time to wait.

They are supposed to be the #1 Toyota dealership. I searched locally and they didn't have one in the color I wanted or they wanted $10k+ over MSRP. They said it was the chip issue and their online inventory, including other dealerships was pretty sparse on Tacomas. They were confident they can get me one, but they warned me in advance when I placed the order it could take over 6 months. The good thing I was not in a hurry and I was able to save up and I should be able to pay cash for it, and I won't be paying over MSRP.

Are they allowing you to pay the msrp on the old pro? What if you had absolutely wanted a lunar rock pro? Did they keep you updated throughout the year…like “hey we’re trying to trade with another dealer to get your allocation” etc etc

it’s good that you personally could wait for a year but I imagine many people could wait 6 months but over a year would be pushing it
