How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

    Listen I didn't believe it myself, knowing many people seeking such a truck I told the salesman I would spread the word. He showed me on the the computer build date 7/15 Japan. He went on to say once it's on the ship it takes about 1 month to get to united states, then once on a train roughly 3 weeks to get to the east coast, so eta to dealer mid September

    Yes - mine is an off-road with tech package (BSM and rear traffic alert). My dealer “speculated” it was the micro-chip for the tech package, but was only confirmed “parts”.

    My 4runner came from Japan on the ship directly to port of new York which is in Newark NJ. I was able to figure out the ship by the dealers in Port date. Equuleus Leader was the ship. Ever get the chance go to YouTube and check out roro ships. Pretty crazy how they load them in

    My Taco was supposed to at the Princeton rail yard by 07/02 but hasn’t arrived yet per Rod. No new door unlock notifications either so I’m stuck in limbo again. Anybody else’s taco get lost on the way to Princeton?

    It might be getting that way.
    The Only things my O/R didn't have. That the Pro has , are TRD Embroidered Headrests, the Lift Kit, and the Scoop. I have all the Tech: BSM CTA, MTM etc. and the Leather/ Moon Roof. I purchased the Accessories I wanted. That it didn't come with, Power Bed Lock, Bed lights, TRD Floor Liners. I will put together the Lift I want" somewhere down the Road". With Gas Prices what they are. Tires and lift will wait. I Sold my S/O 2020 Power Wagon with 35's, because of the Gas, and the Economy. That was my Dream Truck. I'm getting old. It was Capable, Big, Plush, and Comfortable. I had a 1st. Gen Tacoma years ago. I loved that Truck. I Really liked this Truck , when I picked it up. Now 5 Months later. I love it. It definitely grew on me.

    After everything, finally picked mine up. It was one day after I made my first payment. Wheels and tires scheduled for Monday.

    This would be a collectors wet dream!! Wouldn’t toyota have to completely retool parts of some factory to produce a Tacoma in Japan? Are you 100% positive he didn’t show you the info on a 4Runner Pro by accident lol

    Mine was also built on 6/4 in Baja and is still sitting there.
    My dealer claims that it's a logistics issue and that "There isn't any train space for it yet"
    Feels like their just making shit up.

    Any chance you could get some more info from the dealer? Like the temp VIN? If they’re producing pro’s in Japan for the remainder of the 3rd gen I’m putting some deposits back out there and trading in my 22 pro. My wife’s 4Runner’s build quality is in a different league despite having similar materials as the Tacoma.

    Ordered, or should I say, ‘made my request’ two months ago, $500 down. Got the call my truck was in this morning. Test drove and started paperwork this afternoon. Dealership is delivering the truck to me Tuesday.
