How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

I put money down on a 2022 Tacoma Pro on October 8, 2021. It is tentatively scheduled to be at the dealer, Pittsburgh area, sometime between July 24th and July 29th.

 

I’m one of the 6/4 builds whose truck is sitting in limbo in Baja, with no info on why and no ETA. My dealer reached out the other day to apologize for not knowing anything about what’s going on. I talked to them and because of this mystery limbo, they’re letting me keep my original hold on the Red OR that’s stuck at the port and also put a hold on an Army Green OR that just got allocated.

Still love the idea of the red one (assuming it’s mystery limbo isn’t due to some manufacturing error or something - it’s suspicious that so many 6/4 builds are stuck there, while so many trucks built afterward have been delivered just fine). Thankfully the AG I put the other hold on today checks every box in my ideal build and has nothing extra that I don’t want.

Now we’ll see which shows up first, the red that’s stuck in Baja or the green that’s theoretically arriving in September. What an adventure.

Was it actually allocated with tech package and Toyota deleted it unexpectedly? Or were you just preferring tech and received an allocation without it?

 

First post here. I put $1000.00 down on a 22 Sport that's loaded on was told first week in September would be able to take delivery in the Pittsburgh Area. Seems like most people are waiting longer.

 

That's awesome your dealer is letting you hold onto both. They sound like one of the better ones! Anyway in this market they will probably have little trouble selling whichever one you let go.

 

It had the Tech Package with allocation. Then built without it. I noticed the $800 price change when dealer sent spec sheet w/perm Vin.

 

Got new movement! Tire pressure updated and there is another mile on the odometer! I hope that means soon...

Did you have to start your free trials in the Toyota app to get the info?

 

Yes. You can start all the free trials except remote start stuff and get basic info. Depending on your package, you can get door unlock alerts (never seen them), odometer updates, and tire pressure.

 

Anyone with a week 27 build, still waiting on perm VIN? Seems my TRD Pro is about 2 weeks behind so far.

 

When was your truck built? Ive got a deposit on a truck with tech package that’s been mysteriously stuck at the factory for a long time, and I’m wondering if it actually got the tech package built and if not, when I’d know about that. When/how did you find out the tech package didn’t get included on the build?

 

Did it show miles before? Mine showed mileage and fuel level yesterday for the first time. Been same since. I am assuming it came online when moved off the boat. Movement is a good sign.

 

Mine is showing 8 miles 1/4 tank of gas. Tire pressure lowered to 30 Lbs on Friday 7 lock unlock notifications on Friday and dead silence since --Hope something is finally happening

 

I put 500 down on a MGM Pro at MSRP on Monday 07/18 expecting to wait a while to get an allocation. Surprised I got one Saturday 07/23. Has 1500 in port add ons. Would have preferred no add ons but I’m ok with the mudguards, tailgate lock and bed light but really didn’t want the door edge guards or running boards. I’m guessing the dealership won’t let me delete any port adds given the environment. Salesman said build date scheduled for 08/28.

 

I got my 1st info when Rod03 reported it being at port, right as a vessel arrived. Then again yesterday - so I'm assuming that's loading and unloading from the boat? and hopefully on to a truck?

 

8 miles - wow - I thought mine was high at 5 miles already - I was at 36-37 PSI, now at 35-36.

 

My dealer let me do deletes, although the one I was allocated originally had 2700 in port add ons (basically everything they offered) so he let me take 1200 of it off or so.

I do remember seeing another post, maybe in this thread, about someone requesting deletions then got their allocation cancelled by either the distributor or Toyota. My truck was already built when I requested the deletions.

I'm at 3 miles and 39 PSI currently. Wednesday and Thursday when my app erupted with notifications PSI kept changing in the 35-40 range
