You will love it. I went from LR to WCP and it is awesome. Love the color. And blackout emblems, etc really pop.

How do you feel about the Predator steps? Mine is coming with them, never been a fan of steps. I'd rather have a slider tucked up in there... lol

Switching them today to 6" runnung boards.
I have 3 kids. And I like boards to stick out further to protect against door nicks.
I use truck on my farm and as a DD, so sliders are not needed.

Next week is your week bud!

Check the VIN every day. Once in the AM, once in the PM. I did. I'm sure you do the same when you order something online. Check that tracking number every 5 minutes like a crackhead. I mean.. I do. Lol

Since they are several pages back, I quoted own posts on pages 48 & 49 of this thread.

TL/DR; Dealer 45 min away said they could guarantee my exact allocation for $2,500, but I *had* to come in to discuss and deposit.

Had my appointment with the dealer today. The sales person immediately asked if I would take an automatic or if the color was optional. Since I had clearly requested a TRD Pro 6MT in ELG - and he saw this in his notes - I knew they couldn't do what they promised. He told me again, that if I was willing to wait 4-6 months, he could guarantee me *my* allocation, as long as I chose automatic and paid them the full $2,500 - non-refundable.

I told him specifically that I had driven up here, 45 min away, to discuss the truck and was truly disappointed that these questions simply *could not* be answered on my initial phone call. *HE* told me that the person scheduling the appointments will say whatever is needed to get you to the dealership. He then proceeded to tell me that if I absolutely must have a manual, it will never arrive. He can't guarantee it at all, but would still need the $2,500. He then told me that he knows *for a fact* that there won't be a single 6MT allocation in my region.

I told him that this entire meeting was a waste of time. His response? "Sorry. I can get you my manager to apologize to you if it will make you feel better."

I'm not normally this rude, but I was livid at this point - I simply stood up and walked out without another word. I dropped his card off at the front desk on my way out, making sure he saw me drop it.

This was *DCH Freehold Toyota* in Freehold, NJ and ended up being my absolutely worst experience at a Toyota dealer ever.

Sorry to hear about this. But one thing is correct, they will say just about anything to get you in there.

I'm just glad it wasn't Towne. If it was I'd be on the Phone with my guy. Lol. I wouldn't back out of my deal or anything, but words are words. I would feel better about mentioning them to you if I said something.

I saw a brand new 2021 Pro in black with a MT still on the lot locally here in Utah today. I won’t advertise for them though as they are honestly the biggest shitshow slimelords on the planet. I ordered an FJ from them and let’s just say, I wouldn’t piss them out if they were on fire at this point.

But, I’d be happy to give anyone info on the vehicle if you’re interested. Your own dealership or someone else entirely may be able to work a dealer to dealer trade so you can buy it since it has been sitting on their lot forever with no end in sight.

A Pro with a MT sitting? That's odd. Might speak volumes to what you have e said about the slim ball factor.

A bit of a blessing in disguise to offset the anxiety you guys are suffering. When I started looking the current supply issues didn't exist. I saw a lot of trucks sitting on the lot, exposed to the elements, beds filled with leaves, debris, & standing water. As my vehicle is garaged, I wasn't too keen on that. Finally I found a newly arrived Taco clean as a whistle. You'll all be getting virgins.

Oh you aren’t kidding. I will have to search through my stuff and find that whole story I wrote about that experience. It was bonkers. The guy who owns the dealership ended up scamming my university out of a bunch of cash. We had to go after him as an alumni association to get his name removed from buildings.

He tried to “pay us back” by moving his dealership directly across from the university with his name splashed everywhere across the street from campus. He’s “showing us” that all the money he claimed he was going to put into scholarships will be put into advertising and signage to try to get customers from campus. I have flown to Nevada twice to get vehicles and made thousands aware of his sliminess.

I think part of the reason it’s still sitting is that it has been fluctuating between $53 and $60k for months as well. I hope another dealership steps in and steals it from him and is able to sell it for a good price to someone here that would enjoy it. Anything I can do to screw up his day is always worth it.

I had a similar experience with Clermont Toyota in Florida near Orlando. My 2017 was totaled. They had a LR 22 OR coming in a month. Person on the phone told me MSRP plus $800 dealer fee and a $1000 refundable deposit. I drove 90 mins to be told no deposits and a $5k market adjustment. Told the guy I wouldn’t buy a vehicle from them if they were the last dealer on planet earth and I drove 90 mins home. Luckily the 90 minute drive was enough to cool me off bc I was PISSED

Try Village Toyota in Homasassa, so far no drama with them.. I bought a Rav4 Adventure from them in 2019 and am buying a Tacoma 4x4 Sport from them now. I am dealing with Walter W there.
