Not sure where you heard that, its a tri-fold, hard cover.

I've heard it on more than one occasion; I just took a look at the Tacoma Accessories page and see the following:
    • Soft Tonneau Cover featuring a sleek tri-fold design, the low-profile soft tonneau cover is easy to install and remove for storage. Use it to deter theft of your gear and other valuables as well as protect them from inclement weather.
      • Made from light-weight aluminum and premium vinyl materials
      • Easy and quick operation allows you to fold it forward when hauling larger items
      • Designed specifically for Tacoma

The WeatherTech (and many other Tri-Fold designs) have a rigid/hard upper surface which I would prefer when needing to clear snow and such.

Ok... I was talking the hard cover that comes on them as an option from the factory, not anything from the accessories list, which I see now shows a soft cover... apologies.

Just FYI, you can get the Lomax or Bakflip from guys on here for about 25% off ($750ish instead of $1000ish). Not sure how the WeatherTech stacks up to those two or if you're already decided on that one, but you might be able to save some money for a comparable product.

Thanks Rod, just an FYI I am in Phx they said there is a railroad strike (at least here in AZ) so Toyota is delivering by truck direct to dealer now so may see a decrease in rail shipping. This may actually speed up the process as long as they can find truckers.

@Rod03 - Thank you so much for providing updates on our trucks! You are a rock star! So excited to share that mine arrived over the weekend earlier than I expected for sure! I had lost all hope I'd see it within the next two weeks.

    Here is my timeline:

05/20 - Paid deposit for an allocation of a TRD PRO manual transmission - electric lime green
    06/27 - Approx build date
07/18 - Arrived at the port of Long Beach
08/05 - Left Long Beach via truck
08/06 - Picked her up at the dealership

    She's a beaut Clark!

I forgot that she came with the bed lighting kit already (glad I didn't buy the one @Rayca$h92 recommended on Amazon before she got here). I also forgot that she would have the running board already installed as well. It is taking some getting used to getting into it with the side rail since it's got a small lift already but not as lifted as my husband's Tundra. I do still have some questions about things I hear when driving so if you all don't mind me sticking around. :)

@Rod03 when would it be worth checking this again? Today’s supposed to be the day it’s built!

Does anyone know more or less how long it takes to get from the shipping vessel to the dealer ?

Trying to figure when to try sell my current truck before my payment comes up. And have cash ready for the down payment of the new truck.
