    @Rod03 ,

    Congrats on the new baby! I'll definitely be sending a box of huggies your way. When you get a chance, check to see my TRD pro ever caught the ship or still enjoying the port parking lot.

    A lot of people have run into the same. When I was looking,I had called a few places in SoCal and they wanted $9K for out of state sales, Idaho dealerships wanted multiple thousands as well for out of state and for not financing (mine was a cash deal).
    Good luck with the search

    Thanks Rod. I assume everyone is getting their permanent VINs from their salesman?

    It’s so messed up. I was willing and going to end up paying a “reasonable” MPA as I need the vehicle but dealing with NJ dealerships has been a nightmare. I’m not going to pay a $10K MPA like the first one tried banging me for (they generously came down to $5K when I stopped speaking to them). I thought I was in luck when I found a dealership proudly advertising they will sell at MSRP for their local market only. Turned out their perimeter is 20 miles and the Toyota website for find a dealership near you when I input my zip code shows the dealership at 22.78 miles from me so they told me to eff off.

    I ended up having to drive out to PA and work with a dealership that was willing to be up front with the price. Not happy about the MPA but these are strange times and I just wanted to get it over with.

    One of my local dealers that was a hold out on markups on pro's has just jumped ship and is adding 5k now, bye bye to them.

    Its a SE Toyota truck, I can only see the spec sheet. It shows the build date as 08/05.

    So people are using Toyota app and looking for notifications of doors opening, etc. to know when the truck finally exists. Does this work with all models of Tacoma or require a certain trim level/equipment package ?
