I'm gonna grill the manager at my dealership today about what went down with my truck, I'm curious if they will tell me the same thing procedure wise that you've been told. I was told there were parts as a fix, you were told that it's a weld check. Something's weird here.

I think my dealership is totally being left in the dark. The vacuum on information is from down Mexico way at the factory and probably Toyota Corporate. Just have to be patient but for those of working through hardships or inconvenience not having a full time vehicle right now it’s not that easy!

There’s some reassurances reading through this thread, like people getting the permanent VIN and the first time they check it with Rod he confirms to their surprise it’s already in-transport. It’s mostly hope and a prayer at this point.

My dealership says the truck will not be released from the Port until the recall is fixed and that they are waiting on parts to fix it. The remedy from Toyota says just add welds if the original are insufficient.

If my truck did roll off the assembly line on 9/18 there’s a small window I might have made the 9/21 boat out of Vera Cruz. Have to think positive!

I thought your truck was scheduled to be a week 31 build; if so, it should have long since been built and shipped to the port. If I'm missing something please let me know; I have a week 34 allocation scheduled to be built on 05-Sep, however, if your week 31 build is still pending, I'm guessing mine will be pushed back to at least late September.

The week numbers don’t align with the actual year. It’s like a 2 week delay.

My scheduled build date was 8/18 and something did happen for sure that day as the temp VIN stopped working on the Toyota website 8/19. Rod checked the temp VIN for me yesterday and it no longer exists in the platform he has access to.

A healthy dose of wishful thinking on my part but possible the permanent VIN hasn’t registered yet because it managed to get on a ship so quickly.

@Rod03 Would you mind checking on the VIN 3TYSZ5AN3NT094907 for me? The dealer told me it was on a train almost 4 weeks ago with no updates since then. Original delivery estimate was 8/19-8/24.

@Rod03 if you don’t mind I would love any insight into VIN 3tycz5an8nt093319 that you might be able find! Starting to think the dealer is not being honest with me. Thank you!
