How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Thanks for these! I ordered a Tacoma due to be built around mid Sept '22 and delivery (per dealer) end of Oct '22. What does it mean if my dealer isn't reflected in the github repo? Is this repo ONLY current inventory at each dealer site?

 

Upon further deliberation and research after originally placing my deposit on an AT MGM DCV6 SR Trim, I have changed dance partners this afternoon successfully to a MT Lunar Rock DCV6 in TRD Sport Trim. Didn’t realize all I was missing at the lower trim level! The manual trans should be a bit more fun also

Regarding your VIN, I'm not sure if it exists any longer. Why? It looks like your Tacoma was scheduled to be built last week and by now I would think a permanent VIN has been assigned to replace the temporary.

Well, I shall be graduating from this thread. I learned a great deal from @Rod03 and his replies to me, but also to many many others (thank you again sir); picked up the 22 MGM DCSB AT Sport today. The salespeople laughed when I showed them I had already been tracking the truck with the contributions of friends here, but also the Toyota app, and a little deductive reasoning.

The vehicle is definitely worth the wait and my wife happier that I won't be in "monitoring progress mode". During the 90 mile drive home, the Multifunction display showed AVG 23.8MPG which was a pleasant surprise. Of course I will compare the car's estimation with miles driven and gallons pumped.

To those still waiting, hang in there! I hope your waits are almost over.

Congrats! You truck specs are identical to mine (wherever it is).

My sales guy was humored when I told him buyers figured out how to stalk their trucks with the app. Little did he know this information combined with a logistics background how nutty I would make things for him.

 

Has anyone figured out a way to determine sea shipping schedules out of Guanajuato?

 

Do you know what port in Mexico you’ll likely sail from and what port of entry would most likely be used in the US?

 

I believe they use Veracruz for the east and Lazaro Cardenas for the west.

 

In my experience the spreadsheet has a pretty small window. If you live in SET land I think the SET Buy a Toyota inventory is the most useful tool for tracking allocations, but only for SET.

 

That’s my understanding as well. I don’t know what carrier Toyota is contracted with from Lazaro Cardenas to the West Coast but they seem to be using MOL from Veracruz to the East Coast.

I found the MOL schedule lookup on their website. The schedule isn’t fixed on the destination ports but it seems to be a mix of Jacksonville, Brunswick, and Newark. I did a screen grab on the ship that sailed 9/6 so that I have the voyage number with the vessel name and can look it up that way for schedule updates (no longer shows up when I input Veracruz and Newark in the ports any longer).

You just need to be pretty dialed in on the timing and what destination port will be used based on when your truck gets to Veracruz.

 

based on everything below, I’d say Veracruz. My truck got 1mi and a bit of gas on 9/6, so I hope it went on a ship.

Was told that the App would not work for me since my SR5 has the base radio

However this morning I checked the App anyway, which previously has shown Nothing, but now it shows: 3-milles, tire pressure and a bit of gas ............ but no Unlocks! No idea what to make of this?? Built 25th and no movement since

 

Thanks for the info! I’d venture a guess that my truck didn’t make that ship. Looks like the boat departed at 6:06am on 9/6. The ODO & Fuel listing in the app didn’t update for the truck until 7:56pm.
