I honestly don't like/want the additional lift, wheels, interior, scoop, or headlights compared to the TRD OR (even if it they were all free), but I've as far as I can tell there are only 3 unsold TRD OR 6MT in the USA right now, with markups of $10k, $2k, and $2k. I guess in my mind it's a question of whether I think the Pro will retain its value better than the TRD OR 10 years down the line, and frankly I don't think so. Maybe if it was Electric Lime, however Toyota tends to offer the "Special" colors on the normal trucks the year after so that doesn't necessarily hold up either.

Anyone who finds a manual lime taco who doesn't take it let me know. I have an allocation on an auto but would trade you in an open corn field

That's way better than the $7K markup I was told for the 22 Pro M/T in Wyoming (I'm in AZ). I was tempted but not like that. I would have felt much better with the $3K markup.

Bro - I know you would! And same here! I want that unicorn but not at a stupid-ass markup.

I think I'm going to put my name on it, but will happily trade allocations with someone who is on a waiting list for a 6MT TRD OR in Lunar Rock.

    Gotta thin the competition =]

I've got to dump this auto before I fall in love with it. Wife is already saying "why don't you just keep the 07 sport and the auto and let the manual pro go..

    Again, why I married her

G2.M6, I ain't your wife, but I kind of agree. It's funny as I say that to you because pretty much people here are like DO IT! And though I love the encouragement, at the end of the day, it's balancing the excitement of such a beauty with the feeling might be like after the honeymoon period is over.

One of my favorite moments, and EVERY manual driver will attest to this, is putting your left foot down on the phantom clutch when you hop in a vehicle with A/T. It reminds me, in a super sad way, that I'm not one with the car. That's how I feel when I drive a manual.

Perhaps with a little luck and patience, you will get the M/T.

But know this brother. I'll be here cheering you on either way! "Support group" like I said earlier.

I can’t get mine to do that. He only has recently been able to tell me the day it’s getting to port. I think he’s not telling me because he’s actually being truthful, these are all guesses. And honestly with how much those dates move on people…honestly the best indicator to me is build date. It’s probably 2 weeks after built to port, and 2 weeks to dealer. Give or take a week.

I could be be totally full of ___, but my salesman told me last week that some builds including mine are 3-4 weeks behind.
3rd week of January build got bumped to almost end of Feb.
I've passed on 3 other Tacos, dumb move... I'm back on the hunt.
    Good luck to all.

My dealer gave me an update today and their info said my finish build date was Feb 11 but I am not holding my breath. I am sure they are a few weeks behind schedule. Good thing I am a very patient person. Really it’s part of the enjoyment the anticipation and I have grown to accept it and appreciate it.

This wait is like standing in line at six flags. Long wait, talking with people you don't know, complaints about the service, people complaining about the prices, only to finally get up to the end and told the ride is closed due to a malfunction.

I have one and now I'm waiting for another one for my son, feel bad for the kid, they told us 4-6 months and we put our deposit down in November , The kid can't get any sort of idea from the dealership. he's thinking of walking away and buying a ford ranger. At least the ford dealer has trucks on the lot.

October 20th deposit for a hopeful allocation on a TRD pro. By November was told a January allocation for a February to March delivery.

Updated last week with a status of in production and a new ETA from March 2nd to 12th. MSRP since I’m in Canada. It’s a white truck which was my 3rd choice after grey and black but it’s a fricken TRD pro 6MT unicorn so I’m super pumped with zero complaints!
