This process has been interesting. I'm learning stuff I never pay attention to. After reading Ron's reply, I started getting curious about the trip our cars take to get to the dealers. And when I get curious, I start digging. I found this Automotive Route Map for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe rail system. (BNSF). You might enjoy taking a look to see where your truck is and has been.

@mtbparker, very interesting, the route to Selkirk, just south of Albany, is a little convoluted. It looks like our tacos are traveling partners.

They could be! Convoluted is an understatement. I'm not sure if they'll be going north of the Lake Erie through Canada or staying south of them in the States. One thing looks certain though. It'll end up on CSXT to get to Selkirk.

In any case, seeing that mine was in Gibson, IN today, I'm having a hard time believing that it'll be at my dealer by Thursday. But who knows? It's still fun to look at this map.

Yeah, the 29th-4th, further complicated for me by my leaving on a short trip on the 5th. I’d really like to see it this week (or weekend), but it’s a pretty tight timeline.

Either way, I hope we both get a timely call from the dealership.

I'm kinda hoping it comes in before the financing rates change on the 4th. They're, no doubt, going up.

I guess I got lucky. We went to a dealer looking to check out a ‘22 Tundra as I was comparing full size 1/2 ton trucks. They had none to even look at. But they said they just got in a ‘22 Tacoma TRD Off Road ordered for someone and the buyer backed out that morning. So we checked it out and drove it off the lot that afternoon. Total time from first sight to the drive home was less than 2.5 hours. I guess it does pay to be at the right place at the right time.
