Well just wanted to say a huge thank you to @Rod03 for stepping in with my many requests for updates on the truck when having issues with the sales staff. I can confirm that its worth the wait.... but it is sure not easy knowing that it's build and just waiting to make it's way through the transit system. I wish you all the best and I hope that you get your truck as soon as possible. Please feel free to message me or hit me up if there are any questions about the time line. Also you can get MSRP but you will need to shop around....first few places I talked to wanted $7-15K of a "Markup" if you were even able to get a spot in line that could have a chance for the 2022 model year. Please be kind don't rewind and buy @Rob03 a coffee instead.

Dude it was brutal.......the guy sales guy bumped me in line and I had to correct him that I was second not fifth or sixth LOL. Was there was only one guy ahead of me and he wanted a black with a stick....talk about a unicorn. When I picked up my truck we were talking and the unicorn truck that was ahead of mine had a date of November 21 for the deposit.

Hello @TheGreyGhost . I'm in WA state too and waiting on a truck that's in Benicia, CA right now. The train ride (after the truck is loaded onto the train and the train starts moving) takes 16 days from there to WA state? Or does that include the time waiting on the train to even get to or move from Benicia? My salesperson assured me it should take only 5 days from Benicia to the dealership around the Greater Seattle area, once the train loads the truck and gets moving. Should I be anticipating a longer time?

Yeah, us folks asking for 6MT unicorns are definitely playing the waiting game; I asked for a TRD Sport, DCSB, 6MT, with Premium and Advanced Tech packages, and I gave my sales associate a list of four colors I'd accept (in priority order); an allocation for my second color choice, Barcelona Red popped up after 7 months (Blue Crush was my top choice). Congratulations on getting your truck. :)

someone else had a timeline where they got app notifications vs delivery date. How far ahead of delivery did you start getting app notifications ?

The day it was built on 9/8. I had been watching my dealer's web page which had the temp VIN up until a day or so before the build. I checked that page every morning while sipping my coffee and reading the news. I knew something was up the day my bookmark didn't work. I found the truck again on the dealer site with the new VIN, reprogrammed the App, then got door notifications the next day or so. I don't know if that first round of notifications was the day of the build or they were just moving it around the factory holding lot. To be honest, it doesn't matter that much to me. However, I know it was loaded onto the train on the 12th because of both Rod and the App.

PS: There's that long gap while the truck is on the train where you don't get any app notifications. Mine was 20 days. I'm guessing that if you miss that first round of activity where it gets built and loaded, you'll go a long time before your first update. Rod is the only way to know what's going on in that situation.

That they are..........a long term investment type of waiting game. As for the time table I miss things like getting on the rail car and the truck ended up sitting for a extra week. I think they are having issues with getting people to load and unload the truck\cars.....the whole supply chain is slowed or chaotic. Could have been worse and had the rail strike happen LOL. I told my guy I would take anything other than black and would be happy with it. The majority of my life I have had hot hatch's and sports sedans all with a stick....now I'm a geezer and spend a lot of time sitting in crappy Seattle traffic it was time to get a automatic. Still a bit of a learning curve and lately after starting the truck and its in a high idle I have had to fight it from wanting to lurch forward or backwards when in D or R. Thank you for the congratulations and I hope you get your truck soon.

Hey there @TacomalessInSeattle hope that you get to change your name soon, I know the wait can be hard but it's well worth it....hang in there. Cool to see someone else that's in the same area as me....once you get your truck we should sync up would like to know how your buying experience went, there were some odd "WA\Seattle" things that happened and would be interesting to see if they told you the same things. As for my truck train ride it took a long time....not sure if it sat on the train the whole time or it was unloaded and sat over at the Othello depot till they could find a car carrier for it to the dealership. Time line is hard to say .....at least your guy is giving you some information. @Rod03 was a godsent for updates but even after the truck showed up they had to do the PPI and install options and what not before I could pick it up. These days a blown timeline or things taking longer than expected are the norm :(

AB4D0534-C6B5-40C5-8E9D-1B15432FEE2C.jpg Picked mine up Saturday. @Rod03 Thanks for the updates along the way!
    Timeline:
07/18 $500 down on MGM Pro auto. @ MSRP Next day dealer confirmed I was 1st on the list.
07/23 Received allocation build date 08/24.
    09/02 built
09/05 received unlock notification and 1 mile on odometer.
09/08 depart Guaunjunto to Daytons Bluff by rail
    09/22 last sighting Temple TX
    09/30 last sighting Galesburg IL
10/04 unlock notification (assumed unloaded at local rail yard Daytons Bluff)
10/05 unlock notification (assumed loaded on truck)
10/06 unlock notification at this point I assumed it arrived at the dealership. Sent a text to sales guy stating I think my truck may be arriving any day. He texted back a half hour later he got a text that it arrived. Arranged for delivery on 10/08.
@Rod03 a beer headed your way. Thanks again- once you advised it was in IL I was hoping/thinking should be in MN soon. I was lucky it didn’t get stalled at Daytons Bluff - I think a couple have recently.
