As long as you're okay with an automatic transmission, your wait shouldn't be too long.

Hello @Rod03 - Wondering if you would be able to look up this truck (3TMCZ5AN1NM502367). Built back in May, but held up for the carseat recall. Hoping that it is arriving any day as it seems like the carseat anchors were fixed! Thanks so much.

Its a SE Toyota truck, I can only see the spec sheet. It shows the build date as 10/21.

My sales associate just informed me my Tacoma has hit the Port of Boston and is waiting for a truck to pick it up; in these current times that may still take a week or three. :)

Hurricane Ian had to have messed up the ship schedules. There are 2 vessel departures from Veracruz this week. One for Oct 12 and the other for Oct 15.

If you have the VIN on the app you should get your first unlocked vehicle message when they put it on the boat.

Thanks man, appreciate the info. Ian screwing things up isn't surprising. I've been checking the app daily so I'll look for an unlock message today or Saturday.

@Rod03 She's built! New VIN is 3TYCZ5AN7PT109433. Dealer is telling me "normally 6-8 weeks", do you show anything better on your end?

    Coffee incoming.

Six to eight weeks is probably a pretty good estimate; my Tacoma was built on 05-Sep and just made it to the port yesterday, the dealership is expecting another two to three weeks before it gets up here due to the disarray in the trucking industry right now.

I'm still trying to figure out how they ship these things... Do they all go on boats? Built in Guanajuato, heading to the PNW... Will be interesting to follow along!

What I *think* I've been able to glean from this thread is the Tijuana factory trucks their Tacomas to a rail ramp south of San Diego; the Guanajato factory ships via rail east(ish) to the port of Veracruz and from there on to a RoRo vessel. What I don't know is if West Coast bound vehicles built at Guanajuato are shipped to a different port before they go feet wet, or if the RoRo vessels from Veracruz go around Cancun and then head south to the Panama Canal.

In my case it was pretty simple, rail to Veracruz, RoRo vessel to Boston, where my Tacoma currently sits waiting for a truck to bring it up here to New Hamster.

Keep in mind, your sales associate can only report what the status of your truck is showing on the logistics system. Also keep in mind the current unsettled state of our nation wide logistics network, rail, truck, and even ship (due to Hurricane Ian) are in a state of flux. Consider this, my Tacoma hit the port of Boston (all of 75 miles south of my dealership) yesterday, and yet the logistics system is showing as long as three weeks before it gets delivered.
