That looks amazing! Congrats to you! Very close to what I ordered, same trim and color. I did add the blackout package which can be done at the dealer and I got all options except the factory tonneau. Love the mud flaps, glad I spec'd those out. Still wondering about tube steps, nice to have your pic to help decide

Your port is Long Beach. It travelled by ship to there (about a week’s time). Once accessories are added at port they are parked awaiting rail transport. There has to be a significant number of vehicles for the train to transport (profit margin). Once rail picks up they unload at intervals about every 500 miles for ground (truck to dealer) transport and again, trucks require a full load to go to an area (profit again). There may be days lapse before either rail or ground picks up the vehicle. Patience is a virtue when getting an allocation for a Tacoma.

Been waiting for MONTHS (since July 2021) for a black TRD Pro...got the call today, black TRD OR with advanced tech package, TRD Premium off road package, and the LED lights...about to move my deposit over to the OR. After waiting this long for the Pro, there's a little part of my ego that's not happy with me about this...and if a black TRD Pro is in the next allocation, I'll have to cry a bit. BUT, I really don't think there's anything about it I'll really miss other than the time I invested in waiting.

If it is by rail in PA the last you heard then most likely is at port by now. It is most likely sitting in a lot somewhere waiting for ground transport. Hang in there, it’s yours and the stress will be relieved soon. Be sure to post pics when you pick it up.

Thanks, I just wanted a base model Offroad we no extra accessories but this one came available with the paint protection, door guards, & mud flaps so the dealer knocked off the price of the extras added accessories.

Does it have the chrome bumper? If not you must have at least had some minor package added as they make it color-keyed once you start adding some base packages

No it’s got the color matched bumper, it’s got the $800 technology package, Led lights , floor mats & then they gave me the mud guards , paint protection, & door guards for no cost since I wanted a truck without that.

So they still make profit on dealer markup and msrp, those add ons they didn't want to remove basically mean they ate into their overhead, a tiny fraction but still made $ on the sale...

I don't know why so many people fall for the dealership games of not removing dealer added accessories.

you PAID for all of those things.

That's not how it works at all,

Family worked at the local dealer for 22 years and they're all close friends to our family,

The dealership has a pre set allotment of trucks they get to chose from for their region, those trucks come pre configured, but the dealer can go in and add or remove ANY single thing that is a package, say tech package, led lights, premium package etc, any option installed at port, blackout badging, tailgate logo, running boards and finally they can add or remove any dealer installed options.

you guys are all getting taken for a ride.

Lets say you go in and want a 22 trd or dcsb, auto in 4x4

they have a celestial silver alloted with a roof rack, running boards and premium package,

you don't want the roof rack, boards and want to upscale the premium package to the one including the MTM system and cameras,

they can go in, ask for those options to be removed and added, submit it and that's the way it gets build,

same for port and dealer level options,

I have no clue what you guys are dealing with at dealer level but having gone through the process it took me a single text message to get the options I wanted configured and a build date withing 3-4 weeks of putting down my deposit in central ChicagoLand, and at a not very high volume dealer.....

well, hopefully you will get what you want in a couple of weeks. and i hope you're right about the port add-ons and/or dealer add-ons (in your previous post) because the truck i ordered doesnt have LED headlights but my salesman said the port might be able to install them or the dealer can. I know theyre a $459 upgrade and Im willing to pay that. I just hope they really can be added for that price.

I was able to change any options on an allotted vehicle, I couldn't make a standard package a premium offroad package, but I could move around the levels of the premium packages if that's what was allotted,

roof rack, bolt on accessories etc were no problem to remove or add if there was enough lead time up to the build date, they tried to ditch the roof rack on one a week before build date and got rejected, one 2-3 weeks out had no problem,

for a 4-6 week lead time from deposit, changing from white to silver I'd say it's not bad given current conditions.

However, they did not want to drop the Xzilon coating and cost, so I offered them a market adjustment over msrp to do so.

I don't want the truck washed or detailed by the dealer, we'll do that ourselves and apply ceramic from the get go, so I paid them to make their $ and not swirl and scratch

clearwater Toyota told me 3 months at the end of November. I followed up 1/6ish and he told me 3-4 more months. Haven’t heard from him. Autonation told me about 3 months on 1/7. He said he gets more allocations than Clearwater Toyota. If it takes a month and a half after allocation to even get the thing then I’m definitely waiting longer. I was in a bind bc I drive for work and my 2017 was totaled. Luckily I was able to rent a 4Runner and it’s a wash with my vehicle allowance, or I’d be a lot more stressed out. Now I just have to deal with answering “when do you get your new truck” every five mins at work. I don’t mind the 4Runner but I want my damn truck! Is sun Toyota charging Msrp?

Unless you have a temporary Vin/ v_spec sheet your probably no closer to your truck now then before you started looking. Sounds like your dealer just stuck you on his list. I would recommend using the tqcoma spreadsheet. Find the truck you want, at the price your willing to pay, then fly out and drive it home. You can drive from LA to NYC in under 72hours. I've done it

    Ah, how sweet...lol
You may be the first one on here to get one.
When you get it can I ask a favor? Can you measure the distance between the tire and the UCA please? I'm going back and forth on tire size. Would like to go with STT Pro's in 285 but, if it's too close, I'll go with a 255 in either Toyo MT or Mastercraft Courser CXT.
