How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Well first an foremost, I want to thank Rod for all that he has put up with me asking for updates, as of this afternoon I won’t be looking for anymore of them, dealer just called and said it’s being unloaded as we were speaking, so I guess you can say I graduated!!!!

Doing the paperwork and trade in the morning, leaving the keys with the dealer for the add on to be installed, and pick her up Tuesday after work. So excited!!! Here’s a brief time line
1/20/22- request was put in for DCLB OR in white
3/1- offered and SR5 with a couple of upgrades, I declined
5/15- contacted dealer and said I was open to other colors and a well equipped Sport
7/22- allocated BCM Sport with everything I wanted at MSRP to be built in late Aug,
8/15- build bumped to mid September, no other word
Checking on mine and my Pops since then was to deliver 1/20 to 11/2, then moved again to 10/28-11/13
Today- got the call for mine, Pops has changed to a 23 model

We’ll I finally graduated from this thread. Made the 8 hour round trip to Pittsburg today. Got my 2022 TRD Sport in blue crush metallic at MSRP.

Wow that’s crazy it took that long doesn’t even sound like a odd request that you asked for originally

 

One came onto the lot that I had a deposit placed with. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for but it fits my needs so I went ahead and purchased it. Great experience overall at Ralph Hayes Toyota, purchased at MSRP, and no games in the finance office.

I’m a newbie to the forum and figured that I would share my journey so far….

• March 19, 2022: put down a $500 deposit on a white 2022 TRD Pro. I went with a local dealer what would charge me MSRP. I was #6 on the allocation list and was told that it would be a 6 month wait.
• March 23, 2022: my salesperson calls and said that everyone in front of me on the list passed on a black TRD Pro. It was mine if I wanted it. I too passed.
• October 26, 2022: Dealer was allocated a 2023 TRD pro in Solar Octane which I happily accepted. This was the only other color that I would have gone for. Salesperson says that delivery is expected in mid November. Call me a “glass is half full” kinda guy, but this seems like a pretty quick turnaround after allocation.

@Rod03 - any chance that you could check on the status for me? VIN: 3TYCZ5AN0PT111377

 

Got my new VIN today, Rod has been spot on with his info. My TRDOR4x4 was built the other day. From request until this point has been about 2.5-3 weeks. Now just another couple of weeks until I pick up I’d assume (I’m in so cal).

Are you going to trade in the ELM? It will be interesting to see what they offer if you do.

 

Yes I am, kbb has value above what I paid but you can bet dealer will try to low ball. Did you get your truck?

 

Yes they will! I did finally get it, about a month ago. Loving it.

 

She looks great! Glad you finally got it. I think they will do alright with trade number. The salesman told me they were hoping to get it in on trade that they never seen that color. They were never given the electric lime green in an allotment.

 

Wish I could get an auto pro this color but the ones that I found are way over the price of the 23 black one coming.

That’s good for you. They’ll have no problem selling your ELM Pro. The used prices are often more than the new

 

I had the opportunity to get an ELM Pro at MSRP and didn’t jump on it. Wasn’t sure I’d like it but there is one in my area and it is sharp looking

 

I haven't ever gotten so many compliments on a color before, but everyone sees me a mile away lol.

 

Haha..I bet! Black is going to look sweet. My OCD doesn’t allow me to get a black truck though
