Been lurking for a while now! Finally got my VIN! @Rod03 could you please check for me.

I take it @Rod03 is the man with the inside scoop. I just talked to the dealer today and my build date got pushed back a week till 11/5. I'm wondering if she was being honest. Can you tell the status before shipping or only once it's left the factory. She said shipping would be about 6 weeks. It's being built in SanDiego and then floated around to the east coast. The vin# is 3TMDZ5BN9PM42A302. Any insight would be appreciated.

 

I can only see the spec sheet, looks like it was build yesterday. I dont have any other details.

My dealer sent me a snapshot of the order status yesterday. It was “Build” 10/3, in F status, but has not “Processed”.

Anyone knows what this means, and if it is normal to be in that state for almost a month?

Weird. Salesman sent me this pic of the vehicles info. Last I heard, it had a 140 day QC inspection but that started back in May I believe. It should have been delivered a few weeks ago and nobody seems to know anything. That's not what I was hoping to hear. Thank you for checking though I appreciate it!

 

My salesman has been emailing me weekly, even if there isn’t anything new to say. I appreciate the professionalism and salesmanship. The guy literally spends leas than 5 minutes a week to leave a lasting impression. I can’t believe that so many are left in the dark. The process should be fun and engaging!

 

Unfortunately that hasn't been my experience. Any information I've gotten is from me contacting and asking.
Anyone happen to know what this means? I saw that it was supposedly off of railcar but it said this code at the end.

VIN update? Total guess but only thing that makes sense.. just never heard of a VIN being changed once vehicle is manufactured and VIN given already.

 

Did your Tacoma have the recall? Mine went into QC Hold for the recall back in May and was there until September 23rd when it finally reached the dealership. I reached out to Toyota Corporate and they reached out to the dealership and the truck arrived shortly after. Sorry you are having to deal with this, I know how stressful it is.

 

I've gotten very little info so I'm not sure exactly what is going on. Everytime I've called my salesman for info they tell me it should be here soon, "could be tomorrow it could be a week."
Timeline starts with me trying to find a army green TRD off-road about 2 months ago. The dealer couldn't find one and said they could get me the lunar rock, and said it should be arriving at the dealership in 1 week (this after waiting a bit over 1 month after being told it would be 1 month tops.) It's been almost 2 weeks now and I havent gotten any updates.
It was scheduled for a 140 day QC hold on 5/23, so that 140 days has been up for a few weeks now yet the dealer has no new information to give me. This is the only other information I have regarding my truck. Not sure what could take 140 days, let alone 160+. Pretty worrying if you ask me.
