How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

How do you get the lock/unlock and mileage updates? I’ve got the Toyota app and put my VIN in. Do you have to do the connected services to get that info?

 

Picked up my TRD Pro on the 22nd, making the wait from deposit to delivery a little under 6 months.

I really like it. The headlights are awesome- it's nice to be able to see at night! Lots of nice updates compared to my 2010. It feels "trucky" and reminds me of the first gen that I had many years ago. I'm sure it will keep me happy till the next best thing comes along.

 

I set up the app once I had the real vin. Gives me some info and access.

 

Did you have to set up any of the connected services? Ive added the VIN and the truck pops up but just shows vehicle health report and service appointments.

No, I just did what I could online & through the app.
I just have odometer, tire pressure and sometimes get door unlocked notices.
When I check location it just shows my phones location.
You have to be in the truck (which I don't have) and do some form of verification for some info to be made available.
At least as far as I understand.

Just got word from dealer my truck is on their lot ready to be picked up. Picking it up on Thursday. TRD OR DCSB in MGM.

Total time from deposit to delivery will be about a month. But I’m having to travel about 200 miles to get it. I guess I’m pretty lucky.

@Rod03 Can you check on status of 3TYSZ5AN5PT118742, last status was a week ago in Quincy, MO hope it has at least made it to Chicago. Why would it go to Princeton instead of just going to dealer?

 

Finally picked it up last week. A few more options than I wanted but I love it!

Timeline:

May 2022- filled out allocation request at local dealer. Was told 3-6 months TRD OR Crew Cab LB in Silver or Gray

December 2022- Found one on my own at a dealer out of state for MSRP.

Lessons learned:

- Find a dealer that cares about your allocation request(s)
- Use the resources on this website, especially the inventory spreadsheet
- Use Auto Trader or Car Gurus
- Jump on one when you find it

It’s worth the wait!

Placed a deposit 7/23 for a TRD OR, and got it delivered 9/30. As others have said, go to a dealer who wants to help you and not out to just make a sale. I drove an hour away for mine cuz of the outstanding service and effort put into getting me the truck I want in exact configuration. I have about 6 other dealers within 15 min from me and still chose to drive an hour away.

 

Some of the people here waited a good while. And here I was impatient with a two month wait lol .

 

Mine is the same now, are you in the northeast?
