I allocated requested one back in February 2022 access cab m/t lots of other accessory never got it that’s been almost a year and The dealership told me they can’t get it and Toyota cut the Production by 30% May early June that’s why I never got it you’re not the only one that wants access cab Tacoma there’s a lot of other people too on the list that was denied by Toyota allocation system

I think the biggest challenge is that MT trucks already represent such a small percentage of Toyota’s builds that it becomes even more difficult to find exactly what you’re looking for in that configuration.

Toyota probably assumes, rightfully so, that if you’re already going to step up to a TRD Sport to get an AC w/MT, you’re probably also willing to pay the freight on the extra equipment, whether you see value in it or not.

FWIW, my experience has been that the majority of my customers want stuff like heated seats, parking sonar, running boards, etc. Toyota is catering to this lowest common denominator.

My oldest “factory order” in our sales log just hit a year - it was finally allocated to us. TRD Sport DC Lunar Rock with premium and tech. Guy was given the opportunity to switch to a couple of other trucks that we’ve received in the interim but he decided to hold out for the premium and tech packages. He “ordered” a 2022; he’s getting a 2023. Probably in March or April. Crazy times.

I haven’t been waiting quite that long, but I put a deposit down May 2022 for a 2022 OR Premium with Tech DCSB AT in AG. They never did get an allocation. Was willing to settle for non-premium and possibly a different color, but wanted Tech as my wife will be driving it from time-to-time and tends to overly rely on BS monitoring. They did not get a single OR with Tech before the 22 model year ran out and the 23 models started coming in. I was told that Tech was hard to get due to the chip shortage, so Toyota just wasn’t making many with that option.

Revised my order in September for a 23 OR LR Premium with Tech. Little bummed that I missed out on AG (and low interest rates for that matter).

They finally got an allocation for me in December, it’s supposed to be built this month and delivered to the dealership sometime next month, fingers crossed. They offered several other trucks, but I decided to hold out as well.

Hoping it will be worth the wait. The dealer has been super good to work with, no add-ons or markups. Which definitely is not the case for most dealers in my area.

I did find a few out of state that had the options I wanted, but when I contacted them I was told they weren’t selling to out of state buyers. It has been quite a journey.

Finally secured a truck ! Placed deposit at local dealer sept 2022 but also been on the hunt all this time myself. Dealer still has no allocation but I was able to find one 6 hours away that wasn’t spoken for yet. It has a build date the end of this month. Now just gotta get my original deposit back and wait relieved that I don’t have to search anymore just wait for it to show up !

True story. We went a LONG time without seeing a single Tacoma that had premium and/or tech. I have a good customer that wanted your configuration in a TRD Sport and we just couldn’t get it.

AG is a sweet color - I had a 21 OR Premium DCSB MT in that color. I only decided to part with it because I had an opportunity to buy a Pro. Which color did you end up getting?

It’s been a very difficult stretch to navigate for customers and dealers alike. When inventory levels were at their lowest, we had to make value judgements regarding which deals made sense for the dealership and which did not with a strong bias toward customers in our local market.

It sucks if you’re a customer looking for a specific build from outside the area, but it’s a business decision that many of us have been forced to make.

I guess the app doesn't show the cars location unless you set it up using the PIN that's e-mailed to you and inputted into the infotainment system, huh?

I don't think so. Inputting the VIN just gets you lock/unlock, tire pressures etc...

I have gotten no lock/unlock notifications through the app for 3TYSZ5AN7PT121612. The only data I see is mileage, which was 2 the first week, then incremented to 3, and now is showing 5. It shows no notifications.

Also, https://toyota-tracker.com/ no longer works for my VIN, though the current VIN is supposedly the real one.

My VIN stopped showing results on this site once it was delivered to the dealership.

I downloaded the app and entered my permanent VIN the week after it was built in September. I never got a single notification the entire time my truck was moving from Mexico to Wyoming. Once I picked it up all notifications worked fine. So it’s not the same for everyone.

Good to know. My last update from @DragonPro23 on 1/6 showed "Vehicle at VERACRUZ awaiting shipment," though, so it might be a stretch for the truck to have arrived in NH.

Just noticed the notice on top of the website:
We are having issues with Toyota's tracking system and it is causing an increased amount of unavailable vehicle data. If you have helpful information regarding this issue, feel free to contact us.
