Dealer gave me a build date of 1/14.
Noticing my temp vin still works Iam assuming it’s not built and delayed?
Do you know what the status could be?

The estimated arrival at dealership is hit or miss, and sometimes it doesn’t get updated at all after the initial estimate. I’m finding that the on truck for delivery is fairly accurate the closer it gets to your dealer.

What’s the difference with a temp vin and real vin ? When does that change ?

 

I fly back to NY late tomorrow afternoon. I’ll pick the truck up from my installer that did the window tint and front end PPF, bring it back to the dealership and sign all my paperwork. I don’t go back to work until Monday afternoon so I’ll have the weekend to put a few miles on it.

The temporary serial number is assigned when Toyota schedules the truck for production. Temporary serial numbers will have an alpha character in the last six digits. The truck is assigned it’s actual VIN number when it is built and it will have all numbers for the last six characters of the VIN.

 

ahh thank you for that! I have this number now. 3TYSZ5AN0PT03B237. Truck is supposedly being built the last of the month. I downloaded the Toyota app and put in that vin and the truck does come up

 

Thanks dragon, either way I’ll keep an eye out for it. The dealership is about 2 miles from my house so I swing by there frequently. Kind of like a stalker!

This is the exact build I am after! I am waiting for a TRD Sport Premium and Advance Long Bed 4x4 WCP allocation. Did your dealer put in an allocation request? And how long did you have to wait for it?

 

I don’t think they are building many with premium and advanced packages right now. I have 8 TRD Sport DC LB trucks inbound to my dealership and the all have premium audio and navigation but none have the premium or advanced tech packages.

I have one TRD Off Road DC LB inbound that does have those packages.

 

duuude…. So I was on the hunt!!! The way I did it, I went onto Toyota.con and checked the inventory they had. I called up the dealer and noticed it was being built. Placed a down and now I’m here.. but it took a good month or so to see it on the site.

It was such a hard find!!!!
