That's my experience as well. The two dealerships I did call, both were not willing to work with me, once they realized I was 4 states away. I do have a large volume dealership here in my home town looking for me and hopefully they can trade allocations with someone to get me a truck.

That is your best bet. Or just have your sales rep keep an eye out for an allocation that suits your wants and needs. Out in PA, Long beds are seemingly numerous. I keep getting ads on Facebook for AG DCLB trucks out there. Not sure if they are available or not... but I do get the ads.

I definitely noticed some trends on the Inventory tool. DCLB's are plentiful in CA, OR, CO, PA, NJ/NY area, and VA. The south? not so much, for some reason.

If it makes you feel any better, other car I am waiting on just moved date out to April 25th from March 6th. So maybe Toyota is ahead of its peers?

Have you gotten an ETA on delivery yet? I had an 03 scheduled for 1/20 but my temp VIN didn't quit working until 1/24 so I think it was pushed to 04. Haven't been able to get the real VIN or ETA from my dealer yet.

I have not, but I need to reach out to salesman to discuss some dealer options that I am thinking about adding. My temp vin went away on the 26th.

You could check your dealers online inventory on their website. You may be able to find your actual truck there. Use the price they gave you, and the V-Spec sheet as a guide. That's how I found my true VIN.

My TRD Off Road Metallic Silver 6" bed should arrive this week! Paying MSRP with no deal fees. Colorado. Only took a month and a half from time I put my deposit down. Just got a Black 4Runner OR Premium for the wife and that took 4 months.

Moving over from Tundra Talk to Tacomaworld! Gave the Tundra to my son because we couldn't find a decent used pickup truck in today's market.

Now I need to figure out wheels 16" or 17" etc.

Question for those that have been all the way through the process - If I want to have the TRD exhaust added on, what stage of the process do I need to request that? I haven't even put a deposit down yet, just waiting till Thursday to see what gets allocated to my dealer.

Tell the dealer you want it on before you take delivery. The dealer can and will order the exhaust and install it. You will, of course, most likely be paying for it separately.

That is then route I would take. If you attempt to change something about the allocation it could be delayed because of said change. Bolt on, or drop in optional things not already included with the allocation should just be done at the dealer.

You could also just order it yourself and install it, VERY easy or take it to any exhaust shop to install for proabbly cheaper than the dealer.
